Gratitude - A Poetic Meditation inspired by Fatiha

Inspiration: Quran 1: 1 -7

Chant that hymn world quietly sings
Put your notes in universe’ throat
Heavens and earth and everything
Seen, unseen, Its praises sing
The eternal hymn.
The sun and moon follow the tune
The night and day, in constant chase
Say their praise, with dancing whirl
With music are filled, the valleys and hills
The hearts are thrilled.
Birds and beasts, and twigs and leaves
The praying souls, they know their goal
Let’s sing along, that eternal song
That eternal praise, that everyone hears
When one is near
To their God, in their heart
All praise is due to our Master true
One who creates - the Compassionate
Constantly giving, often forgiving
Sovereign of the Day when all will meet
To see their deeds
When all will be known, what we had sown
So let’s sing the song, praying along
O Providence Divine, Be our aid,
To You we pray and You we obey
Be our aid!
O the One for whom the praise is sung
Lord of the East and Lord of the West
Show us the path for us is the best
The balanced course, followed by those
By your Grace were treasures bestowed
Not of those who lost their path
Nor of those who earned your wrath.
