You have a very good idea. For example, we could reexamine every Hadith and accept only the ones that are rational, in concert with acceptable norms, and humane. The ones we don’t like can be declared as hearsay.

Also, we could take a similar approach to the Holy Koran. We should assume a modern, logical, and compassionate interpretation of all the verses and most of them will be quite acceptable. The hopeless ones can be attributed to Usman’s beta version of WordPerfect or Wordstar and be rendered inapplicable. :) Problem solved.
