This logic asserts that a compromise between two positions is correct. Therein lies the first flaw, if both positions are incorrect, then the compromise between them also has to be incorrect.
In human interaction, middle ground is also a logical fallacy, not for very obvious reasons. Because Middle Ground does not exist on its own, it is created.
It is created by compromise, by looking at the bigger picture, at the greater good which is to be attained by the creation of that hallowed Middle Ground.
However, there are certain things which cannot be compromised upon. Like basic character traits, this cannot be unlearnt.
Like morals and ethics and values. Like family.
The other traits, which make up a human being, are mostly out of habit, and can be ironed out, over time, with effort and appreciation, and an eye on the middle ground which is created by such effort.
