here is a prayer for all those giving thanks for colonizing new lands.
[BTW, did you know that the first meal that the American astronauts had on the moon, the very first meal, was the NASA version of a thanksgiving dinner? Cranberries, turkey, stuffing, etc. Innerestin ain't it? Now you should wonder...why?]
Okay, so all those eating feel-murghs (turkey) tomorrow:
May your bird be fat. But not the morbid obesity facilitated by "tube down the throat forced feedings", not the obesity that would cause its legs to snap under it's own weight.
may your bird be delicious. But not because of the grotesque tumors that may have covered it's entire body due to the tight spaces, filthy food, and rampant disease that it lived its short life in.
may your bird be well done and clean. But not because of the horrible sports that the bored and guilty humans that inflict violence on these birds play, as a means to ease boredom, by jumping on a living bird just right, to force its intestines out of its posterior.
May your gravy be tasty. May you easily be able to stuff the stuffing into the bird through the large posterior cavity.
So happy thanksgiving day one and all.
