Public service for those who place any faith in Sadna's posts

Posted: Mar 30, 2008 Sun 04:04 am     Views: 182

Reading a bit of a constitution history for an old case, I discovered a very basic lie by Sadna Gupta by chance.

For eight or nine years now Sadna has been on a one-woman jehad against all historians who have - after studying the documents of transfer of power papers- ruled that it was Congress' inflexibility that led to partition of India.

Her main claim has been that Congress was right in rejecting the Cabinet Mission Plan because according to her the Cabinet Mission Plan promised parity between the Muslim and Hindu federations in the central legislature.

No doubt Jinnah and the League came to Simla with the demand that the three tier federation should have two sub-federations at the central tier which would have equal representatives in the central legislature or have no central legislature at all.

HOWEVER, the Cabinet Mission Plan, as accepted by Jinnah and the Muslim League, based on the 16th May 1946 statement did not have any PARITY.

Under the Cabinet Mission Plan, there were to be 79 Muslim representatives in a house of 292. This was accepted by the Muslim League in its resolution of June 6th, 1946.

(Sadna also claims that Muslim League claimed parity in the Cabinet ... but forgets to mention that it was only for the interim government till the formation of the constitution)

Hence Sadna's basic premise has been a lie all along. Now someone like me should have called her bluff a long time ago but I admit my failing.

If you recall her cheerleaders (like raw-dust etc) went wild proclaiming her "arithmetic" about the Afghan War in which Pakistan would inevitably drag the rest of India into... but all that was based on this fundamental premise which has been a lie.

Shame on me for not exposing this lie earlier and shame on those who continue cheer this hatemonger Sadna on despite her dishonesty.

Now Sadna will presumably quote tracts and tracts of statements etc to over-awe the chowk populace... but she will NOT answer this question: Why did she lie about parity between Muslims and Hindus in the central legislature under the Cabinet Mission Plan which did not exist?

I rest my case.
