Whichever a shackle!

Koi Zanjeer ho!
By Amjad Islam Amjad

Translation : Aadil Omer

Whichever a shackle!
Whatever a chain!
Of steel, of silver,
even of convention,
love can break it!

Tis a shield,
that can't be crossed,
by any of the swords of time.

Tis a city,
that neither a king,
nor a dictator can rule!

This is a mirror,
that cannot reflect an image,
gazed upon with an impure eye.

Tis a fire,
where souls smile,
even if bodies,
are entangled by flames.

Tis a flood,
that is willingly invited,
by the towns of hearts.

Dreams turn into realities.
The extinguished scenes,
become resplendent.
An unheard prayer,
all of a sudden,
bears fruits,
and a strayed fortune
asking for direction,
is found right in front,
When it so wishes.

A running tide of time,
a dying flickr,
the metaphor of nothingness,
and a broken falling star,
can only be stopped by love.

It can mend pieces,
of a shattered mirror,
and it can twist the reins,
of weathers,
where it so wishes.
Whatever a shackle!
Whichever a chain!
Love can break it!

lol Nadeen. the barishes have baras chukeeN just short of a gazillion times already (no more a case of baras 'raheeN' or I would have acted upon your advice). The sky's clear now and I spend my days gazing at the sky and end up with plenty of crows' droppings on my specs...and my nights counting the stars and drawing blue whales and what not using them, just as the little girl in the airtel (?) ad... :D

An unheard prayer,
all of A sudden,
bears fruits,

you should add an A here.
You have a very good sense of words in the English language.

Its very good.
