Further to Quin's post on Motherland......Hope

Much has been said and debated as far as the 'One Liner Primer On Pakistan' is concerned. Looks like the debate is somewhat settled after a number of exchanges and interacts.

One of the key words that emerged out of whole discussion with a lot of emphasis was 'HOPE'.In the same context, that brings me to repost one of the ilogs and a wonderful piece of reading by Paulo Coehlo that I find relevant to the discussion at hand.

Hope

Now that makes me believe.....Never lose hope!

What about you ?

"I fall silent. The violence in my country has crossed oceans and mountains and reached the place in Central Asia. What can I say?"

Quite relevant. We all have power in us, we all have a certain something that we can contribute. Its only a matter of time that we realize it.

Delirium, that was a wonderful piece. Much enjoyed. Thanks for sharing.

Like love, despair too has a habit of "disappearing overnight" Though I may have more gloomy outlook of life (and I do not relish in it) however, I do have a lot of trust in humanity's undefeatable spirit.

Though sometime it seems as we are digging our own grave, at the same time it does not negate the HOPE that these are cycles of untameable forces of history / nature, whose ultimate goal is evolution. I have never stopped pitching in, howsoever small, as my part in this ardous journey towards our collective betterment.

Pessimism is a lens through which one sees a certain shade of meaning in the events around us; it is not same as pacifism (the antonym of activism) as said earlier. Like everything else, excess of anything, pessimism or optimism, have the potential of throwing one out of balance. The challenge is to keep the balanced course in our approach.

Borrowing the infamous line from Iqbal (I hope I am right)
Paewsata reh shajr se umeed e bahar rakh.
This is a quote from not such a famous person
Imtihanat bhi isi jahan mein hote hain
Moajzaat bhi isi jahan mein hote hain
