Karachi
Karachi is becoming a sad word and the life in Karachi is becoming miserable. I was watching the marathon press conference of Benazir Bhutto and it was just a diatribe. The media analysts, in their post-press conference discussions, seemed more keen to focus on the atmospherics than the real questions.
During the entire lenght of the press conference, I had a feeling that I was watching nothing lese than enterainment and not anything to do with news. The media in Pakistan is still too immature, as seen from the emotionalism of its coverage and the anchors are more interested in scoring debating points than in moderating.
Pity.
