It is gloomy and raining, much like my mood. And people question me why I am flying east for the winter?!
As my long-awaited trip is fast approaching, many fears come to mind. But I cannot give into these fears, my mother chose to give me life so that I can live it.
I face a long physical journey next week, arriving to the next challenge of finding affordable accomodation, and making the most of Lahore without getting into danger. It is maybe a fear of the unknown (and a regret at watching 'A mighty heart' last week!), and maybe it's a fear that I have to face head-on. My last visit to Pakistan was rural, and accompanied by family. India was breif, but I was alone and coped (I hope) very well. The two countries are viewed so differently over here in the UK, that I have wildly different fears for each of them. The only joint fear is the situation of crossing from one country to the other.
ButI'll cross that border when I come to it (bad pun there!).

And what are they? Divulge so, perhaps, an attempt to dispel can be made. Is it the "fear of the unknown" as you say a little later? It's not a war zone - you'll be fine :)
I realize that following the news may make you think otherwise, but hey, I speak as a jaded citizen of Pakistan - ye shall be safe. :)
