Total anonymity on 'Chowk'.

Why are so many Chowkies so coy in giving even meagre details of themselves on their profiles? I don't think I've seen another profile which gives anything like as much as I've written on my own. Is it that a blanket of anonymity is absolutely essential before voicing one's opinions? Even without the mention of my nickname and back-view photo I can (and have been) readily recognised, and I don't mind - but I suppose I'm lucky in having an environment where recognition is no big deal. If one doesn't wish for reasons of safety and security to have one's family and friends able to identify and have access to one's thoughts then I suppose that a blank identity is understandable - but it's the fact that are there so many that I find puzzling - or is it just me?

Khaki,

While you have jumped out of the closet, it seems chowk environment encourages people to jump into the closet :)

Tazeen, you are a brave one. But then you do have to face the zeemax type bastards :(

nah, at least i have beaten you to it. I log in with my real name and have my email addy on my profile, any more real and i would be labeled as someone who lacks imagination
