The new parliament..

Posted: Mar 16, 2008 Sun 09:59 pm     Views: 103    Interacts: 3

The new parliament is going to take oath today. It will be the 13th occasion in the history of pakistan that a new parliament will be sworning in. The previous national assembly though completed its constitutional tenure of 5 years, but was a bunch of the most pathetic of the morons. This time around, given the context of the troubles and tribulations our country is passing through, we have nothing but high hopes from the newly elected parliament to inject a new life in the body politic of the country. The spirits of the new leadership seem blooming. Let's pray for a new era of peace, stability and prosperity of the nation. Let's lend the sincerest of our supports to the new parliament to complete what they vowed and what the nation is expecting from them.

The times are such that we ought to shut the windows of cynicism ableit till the moments when the new assembly starts functioning.

Being idealistic is a very good thing, but being realistic is more trendy and probably brings less disappointments in its wake.

About the new parliment, lets wait and see what happens.

Actions speak better than words, lets see if they deliver as good as they promise.
