The reality of 'Hindu' India
This whole concept of a "Hindu" India is pure nonsense. There is a huge Dalit population in India that is considered "Hindu" for demographic jingoism, but hardly included for the benefits of "Shining" India. "Upper" caste Hindus, while being low-class humans, hog the material resources of the country. If you were to count the Dalits, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, aboriginal peoples, as non-Hindus, the remaining rump is not the much-touted "Hindu" majority. Moghuls and Muslim rulers knew this secret and it seems, so does the new coalition in Utter Pradish.
