How to tell if the market is up, down, or tanking?
I can tell how the market is doing just by visiting Chowk. If Amit "Choostahai" Sharma is on Chowk, then all's good. The market is either up or even if it's down, there's nothing to worry about.
If Choostahai is missing in action from Chowk, watch out! The market is tanking and Choostahai's high-tech pager is buzzing non-stop with requests for more toilet paper coming from the busy stalls in the rest rooms of his Wall Street firm.
His absence could also mean that Mrs. Sharma is extremely busy and wants him to get more condominiums uptown.
