The Old Guard
This kind of threat is the last tantrum of spoiled backroom power brokers who know that their golden era is over. Not only will these kinds of threats not work, but having your fat cat donors send threatening letters to a superdelegate who is also the chair of the convention, is not a good strategy to win the nomination.
