I am a proud Indian American..
I love both lands with a passion..

The former for giving me birth
loving me; nurturing & sustaining me...
& giving me a certain spirituality...

The latter for shaping me...
letting me be the best I could be...
for giving me back 10 times more than I have put into it...

& for (MOST OF ALL) putting up with a successful, though humble, idiotic jerk like me...
Random Thoughts: I ALWAYS wanted to be a doctor..
had no use for astronauts, cowboys & fire-engine drivers...

I was inspied by a humble physician Gandhian father....
& a humble Gandhian freedom fighting grandfather..

Great people have taught me the SCIENCE of medicine...
only pappa taught me the ART of medicine...

I graduated med school in Bombay & came to the USA in the early 80s...

A Higher Power led me to the field of Psychiatry...
There is no GREATER & wonderous organ..
than the human MIND....
& its anatomical representation, ...
the human brain...

God is known for HER great wonders...
IMHO, the MIND is HER...
greatest creation...

I`ve been a student of the human mind for about 25 yrs.
In that time I`ve peered into countless minds..

I may go home drained, mentally exhausted, frustrated that I cant control 99% of my pt`s lives....
BUT
I ALWAYS go home FASCINATED!!!
