I was born in Karachi and spent my early childhood in Interior sindh. Surprisingly I didnt come across many sindhis there. My friends and neighbours were urdu speakers , punjabis , christians and gori nuns. I actually made sindhi friends when I moved back to Karachi. Same thing happend when I came to NY. I found hindus kairalans , sikhs , Ukrainians, Mexicans, Latinos, Arabs, Polishs, Gujraits and lahoris there. what now ? I thought ? do I have to go to Mexico to meet americans ?
So be prepared when you end up in heaven or hell. The crowd may be totally different then what you may be expecting.
Random Thoughts: I am a Nephrologist by Profession. A singer by shauq , A comedian by nature , A chef by necessity ....
if given a choice , I would want to be a singer by profession. When I hear about Brittany spears owning Villas , Mansions , penthouses , cafes, clothing line , perfumes..my blood boils. and if my blood is boiling , you can imagine what must be happening to the blood of Begum Roshan Ara begum , Begum Akhtar and Ustaad chotay Ghulam Ali Khan. I am sure un kay blood ko ubaala aa kur ooper kafi malai bun gaee ho gi.
I think I can sing better and higher scales then Brittany `kulmohee` Spears.
I dont think I can become a comedian by profession. I can be funny only when I want to be funny. The minute I am requested to write or produce something funny. I freeze. The only thoughts which then cross my mind are bleak, dreary and morbid ( examples : Ariel Sharon , US election 2004 , Syed faisal saleh Hayat , Condeleza rice , Florida hurricanes , Vapda , KMC , lizards, food poisonings , julaab and paichish )...so I guess for the time being I will stick to being a Nephrologist....
Favorite Reading: Snow white and Cindrella. It gives toddlers hope and glamour, but it should emphasize that true love comes after 30 +.
Favorite Writers: These days its the guy who writes Jon stewarts` s and Conan O`brien`s scripts.
