I live in a small town in Mexico, not far from Mexico City, with my wife, three grown children and two lovely grand daughters.

Random Thoughts: I`ve traveled all over the world (well, just about). I taught mathematics and biology in Fiji, Alaska, Australia and continental U.S.A. before retiring. I used to do a lot of sports but then I got too old. I read a lot when I`m not building furniture for the house or doing re-modeling, re-wiring or plumbing (these last are hobbies). I`ve been a political and social activist almost all my adult life. I`ve participated as a volunteer agriculturist in Mexico and Cameroon and I also joined with other volunteers to build modest homes for needy folks in Puebla, Mexico.

I took my undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado followed by graduate studies at Colorado State University and the University of Colorado. I also completed a nursing degree at Florida State University.

Favorite Reading: “Heart of Darkness” by Conrad, “The Guide” by R.K. Narayan and “A Sportsman’s Sketches” by Turgenev rank among my favorite books.
Favorite Writers: I admire Mir and Ghalib (when I can understand them), also Joseph Conrad, V.S. Naipaul, R.K. Narayan, Octavio Paz, Turgenev - well, most of the celebrated Russian novelists and short story writers.
