I am a gora married to a Pakistani, we have a house in Bahawalpur, my wife is currently working in UK, I work as a freelance writer and management consultant. We foster a profoundly deaf Pakistani child.
Random Thoughts: Currently writing a weekly op-ed piece in The News, occasional features for Dawn, am a contributing editor for SouthAsia magazine and as of June a contributor to Spider. I am a visiting Professor of English (and social work) at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and as of April this year consular correspondent, appointed by the British high Commission in Islamabad, with responsibility for south Punjab. I also work as a management consultant in the NGO health and education sectors, principally for Pakistani NGOs.
Favorite Reading: To the lighthouse, Lord of the Rings, assorted Hornblower, any Terry Pratchett....the list is endless
Favorite Writers: Too many to name, but particularly like Virginia Woolf
