I detest the fights that go on in Chowk between India and Pakistan. I feel that our nations can get together, or if not, our ``fights`` should be between Sachin and Shoaib, with bat and ball, not guns !

My purpose of writing on Chowk is to introduce an element of humanity - sharing emotions, memories, tribulations.

This particular story is one I read long ago, as a teenager, so long ago that I couldn`t even remember the title of the story. However, since I remember the story after decades I thought Chowk readers may like it too.
