As editor I stand by the publication of this piece. Re. its quality of writing or ideas expressed, I assume the readers have a choice to ignore or to vocalise their point of view.

It is topical and takes a stand, whether or not one agrees with it. That is the bottomline where an article on `In Site` is concerned.

Should anyone have another POV that is eulogistic but has a definite perspective, they are welcome to send it.

As a writer I have not spared icons, religious or otherwise, and borne the brunt of disagreement.

The same standards apply across the board and am glad that there are voices that can fathom that.

The timing is what is at issue here, and is (rightly) seen as a deliberate stab at Muslims.
