I dont know about Pakistan`s past, but the present sure looks pretty grim. And with the highest population growth rate in South Asia, it will be quite a challenge for you.
Actually what you suggest is fine with us. Go ahead and continue with the status quo or pursue China. Good luck with that!! We all know how magnanimous the Chinese are!!
Our difference is just going to get wider and wider as it has for the past several years. Dont say later that we cunning hindus deliberately didnt help the muslims.... :-)
As far as isolating India is concerned, that is laughable when literally crores and crores of FDI is coming in every week. But what the heck...take your best shot....we are shivering in fear.....

there is any economy to be worth considering than Pakistan should tie itself to the rising Chinese economy.
You`re already tied to the chinese economy like an elevator is tied to the counterweight..
Trade liberalisation with China costs Pakistan dearly

LAHORE - Pakistan had sustained a record deficit of $1.488 billion in bilateral trade with China in last financial year, The Nation learnt on Monday.
In 2004-05, Pakistan’s exports to China amounted to $354 million while imports from the said friendly country expanded to 1.842 billion dollars, the highest-ever in a year since the beginning of bilateral trade between two nations.

Ranjit:
When Pakistan got independence she had no money to speak of. Yet in 1955, South Korea’s foreign minister came to Pakistan, wondering what is Pakistan’s economic miracle. Pakistan was humming along just fine, right up to the mid-1960’s, clearly some 18 years after its independence.
I disagree with the notion that Pakistan’s economy should be tied with India’s economy. They are two divergent economies. If, between India or China, there is any economy to be worth considering than Pakistan should tie itself to the rising Chinese economy. After all there are over 200 million muslims in the western province of China, that would like to share their expertise with a fellow muslim nation.
When and if, Pakistan improves its law and order situation, there would be many participants in Pakistan’s economy. Recently, standard and poor raised its ratings on Pakistan. As such, Pakistan is on path to recovery.
Actually, Pakistan should continue work to isolate and insulate India’s egregious policies. Pakistan should come up with its own containment policy of India’s economic onslaught. Bollywood entertainment does not make an economy. It is the people that make any economy shine. Unfortunately for Pakistan, she came to this realization very late.
Respectfully submitted,

Aslan:
Tens of thousands of Sikhs, Christian Nagas, Kashmiri Muslims, Dalits, Tamils, Assamese, Manipuris, and others have been murdered by the government, with no apparent difference no matter which party is in power.
This congressman is funny.. I don`t know of thousands of Tamils being murdered by the government.. I wonder if he mistook the Srilankan government to be part of Indian government.. Hmm.. let me think.. Even assuming that he talks about the Indian peacekeeping force (IPKF misadventure) in Srilanka killed a lot of Tamils, they are technically Srilankan citizens, IPKF also lost more than a thousand (that would have included considerable tamils). Even that does not add up to the charges..
What kind of people get into the US congress.. I wonder if he ever talked about this after 9/11 when probably his financiers would have turned the ``new terrorists``..
:-))

Pakistan is free to chart its own economic destiny. It has done so for the past 60 years and whats the result? It is far below India in HDI rankings. This is a neutral measure of development, not something that an Indian nationalist has come up with.
If you want to develop manufacturing like China, you need immense amount of capital which is not available within Pakistan. Foreign investors are hesitant to put their dollars into a country that is known for its volatility and unstability. Also you need a market for your products since your internal market is not all that large. The international market is already cornered by China and to some extent India. Pakistan has tried to pursue trade deals with central asia but those countries have been cold to Pakistan due to its policies in Afghanistan. China is not willing to open its market to Pakistan either.
Thats why I am suggesting a tie up between India, Pakistan and Central Asia/Middle-east. By bringining Central Asia/Middle-east into it, it reduces Pakistan`s anxiety about India. By bringing India into it, the Central Asia/Middle-east nations will overlook Pakistan`s old record in Afghanistan. It can actually help to raise trust levels in the whole region.

What I had said was slightly ofcourse - that if someone tries to make my home
Your home is at a far greater risk from the purest muslims from the land of pure, the ones who declared you non-muslim, then it is from the reunify India people...I`ll bet the number of people in Pakistan who want your blood spilled is far greater than the number of Indians who want to associate India with the jihadi cradle..

Dear Friends,
Would it not be better for the muslims of India to follow the Qauid footsteps and demand a separate nation for themselves? After all the two nation theory is still valid. Muslims and Hindus are indeed two separate civilizations. And then, let us see how democratic the ruling Hindus are.
Respectfully submitted,

My wife is an independent human being with her own views. However her comment is strictly within the framework of a situation.
What I had said was slightly ofcourse - that if someone tries to make my home, my city, my province, my country part of a Hindutvist pipedream.. I would not hesitate in spilling blood mine and theirs...
Such a situation will never arise ofcourse because people don`t want to revisit partition or undo it I am sure on both sides. As for the blood spilling party in Bangalore... any and all violent attacks on a civilian population, especially something as sacred as an educational institution, are reprehensible.

in fact, she said she would spill some ``significant`` amount of Indian Blood
She probably figured that if a muslim paki was equal to 10 Indians, an ahmedi(i.e. non-muslim) paki should be worth at least 5....

I don`t know man - first you declared your intention to spill indian blood - then your wife comes out all guns blazing saying she too is going to join the party - in fact, she said she would spill some ``significant`` amount of Indian Blood .......and she even spelt out the reaosn - like how Indians have bad genes and all that..... yeah, swear to god - looked like she is all ready to go and spill some blood right away.....
I mean....it`s not as if ``significant`` amount Indian blood is not being ``spilled`` already by you people..... there was spilling party last week in Bangalore..... so given that - you understand how we poor Indians feel about that - don`t you?......
I mean - what do want us to do? If we say we keep kashmir - you spill our blood..... if some guy [who claims to be Indian but we doubt it] in his fantasy says he wants ``re-unification`` , you are out to spill our blood..... come on, give us bad-genes indians a break....
