[What i find interesting is that when a new pakistani chowkie comes here, he is generally very positive and friendly - while for indians it is the other way round]
Yes, the Pakistani Chowkie is very positive and friendly, and never forgets to deposit his two-takas in jehadi donation boxes to kill innocent Hindu men, women and children in Kashmir and elsewhere.
[This tells me something about the broader character of the two nations.]
Not only you, the whole world is now realizing about the ``broader character``s of India and Pakistan as well.

[...unlike you two-taka Indian men who flood chowk, we are not obsessed with ridiculing other people`s religions. In fact, there are 1 billion more like us. ]
Yes, there`s a billion of you who have made it their religion to ridicule other peoples` religions - by repeating the words of the Quran which ridicule other religions and say hateful things about people of other religions.

are there verses in quran against the infidels??
does quran justifies killing and/or violence against non-muslims????
a simple yes/no would suffice.

Let me translate that from prophetese to english: Pakistanis are full of love and feelings of brotherhood for their fellow man. They never supported Islamic extremists, condemned their governments use of Islamic terrorist as a policy tool and are against all forms of jihad. They then come to chowk , are faced with the hateful Indians( hateful because they post items from the press) turn into raving jihadi maniacs..
It`s the prophet tahmed(PBUHSRR) version of the twinkie defense: The hateful hindu made me do it..

YLH: The fact that chowk does not enforce its guidelines is one reason why these indian men have turned it into a cesspool. What i find interesting is that when a new pakistani chowkie comes here, he is generally very positive and friendly - while for indians it is the other way round (like ranjit who made his grand entrance to chowk expressing joy at the deaths of indian kashmiris). With the passage of time, indians tend to lose some of their hatred, while pakistanis lose a lot of the goodwill they brought with them.
This tells me something about the broader character of the two nations. I dont take it too seriously though, since I think it is their temprament (they are probably abusing one another when they are not on chowk).
Anyway, the hell with these people. Hope all is well with you. How are things in Lahore?? Dost Mittar posted something about a ``Panjabi University`` in Lahore being started. Have you heard anything about it??

tahmed,
Well said.
Push comes to shove, all Indian chowkies resort to the same tactics. Unfortunately they believe ``abuse`` equals ``logic``.

Ranmujan : ``However, people like Urstruly are far less dangerous than people like Salim or Tahmed32. They all share the same goal, but Urstruly is foolish enough to state it openly. It is people like Salim and Tahmed32 who use the Trojan horse of the Left Liberals to infiltrate our human societies, and start the rot from within. It is they who are following Muhammed`s advice to his followers of using stealth and deception to destroy the enemy, instead of honorable and direct confrontation. ``
ha! ha! Spoken like a true hindu nut! Yes indeed people like me and Salim are dangerous - because unlike you two-taka Indian men who flood chowk, we are not obsessed with ridiculing other people`s religions. In fact, there are 1 billion more like us.
harish_hyd: thank you for the namecalling. I realize namecalling (something most people consider immature and stupid even when they are in the first grade) is the highest intellectual achievement you hindu nuts are capable of.

Dear Harish Hyd,
My diagnosis is that you suffer from what I often describe Post Gulf-war I Saddam Syndrome... which resurfaced as the Iraqi-information-minister syndrome of claiming victory when there is none. Anyway... that is between you and your shrink.
``Not once have I claimed that Gandhi was a paragon of equality``
Well in that case I am glad that you have finally seen the truth about Gandhi who was a misogynist, Hindu fundamentalist freak. Now there is the simple matter of reciprocation vis a vis Jinnah ... which is just not possible.
FTR- I have not ``falsely`` attributed anything to you. If your claim is that Jinnah merely opposed and did not stop his daughter`s wedding- then to a reasonable person that is no argument. Like I admitted in my previous post... I have no counter-argument to such specious reasoning that only you are capable of. I only feel sorry for you.

[You are damn right I have no counter-argument to such an illogical argument under which Gandhi, a misogynist Hindu fundamentalist who believed women ought to stay home and who went beserk when his son converted to another religion, is a paragon of equality... while Jinnah, who despite his personal disagreement didn`t stop his daughter`s marriage, is some how a hypocrite.]
Well Yasser, time and again, you`ve shown yourselves to be incapable of comprehending simple English. Not once did I claim Gandhi is a ``paragon of equality``. If I`ve done so, please let me know where. This is the third time in a span of just over 20 posts that you`ve falsely attributed to me words that I`ve never uttered. There is a not-so-polite word used to describe such distortion, which I`m sure you know well.
Gandhi may not have been right, but he was honest. Otherwise, how would you have ever known he was jealous of his wife when she talked to other men, unless he himself admitted as much? OTOH, Jinnah who made tall talk about letting women walk by his side, could not so much as countenance the fact that his daughter was in love with a non-Muslim and wished to marry him, something of which he himself was guilty. That in most people`s book IS hypocrisy.
[So please continue to bask in your glory.. as far as I am concerned you have shown yourself up quite nicely.]
This kind of talk was only to be expected once it became clear that you had no argument. I`m only surprised it took you so long.

Inquirer...
It seems that you suffer from English comprehension issues or you just didn`t bother to read the article above... or there is a third possibility... you can`t accept that your view of Pakistan may be wrong - for example the ``absolute fact`` you claim is contested by Yogi Sikand`s article- which has affected you a most Behramian way.
My issues remain:
1- The author asserts that before the British came along India was some sort of a matriarchal utopia... this has been pointed out as false by other interactors as well ...
She writes: But hundreds of years before British India ever existed, the region was anything but patriarchal and the religion of Islam was anything but repressive. Hindus and Muslims used to live under laws based in local custom in the pre-British India. The British rulers came with a condemnation of Indian customs and blamed them for India’s backwardness
2- About Rabia Basri-
The author writes:
``Looking back in history, prior to colonialism, the region of South Asia was marked by great Sufi saints. The Sufis not only bridged the gap between the Hindus and the Muslims in the region through love, tolerance and poetry, but they also practiced a very liberal version of Islam. They pushed the boundaries in pursuit of love and truth. Rabia Al-Basri was one such Sufi. It was the honesty and strength of her belief that allowed her to question the concept of afterlife and heaven and hell which supposedly directs a good Muslim onto the right and wrong paths of life.``
I pointed this out several times... but if you still don`t get it... let me assure you that I am positive that your wife, who you dismiss as inferior in Physics, Mathematics and Philosophy, might actually do better than you in those fields.
