@aquaris..charging sheets are left to rot and dust to settle on. The only thing that strikes the mind after frustrated summary of our country is that we need a BULLET REVOLUTION. An anonymous group to stand up, kill one politician and hang him at some busy chowk with a sign hanging down his bloody neck ``Nobody touches or else``, this should be the intro part of this group into the arena which is dominated by Altaf Bhai and Co.
Nobody knows this group, the whereabouts, meetings on mobile fones or internet, `mails are encrypted`, for the ransom or life-pardoning of second politician should be the demands of local people. Time given - one week. What should be done - prices of oil, gas, eatables, safaaee suthraee, ( the small stuff first).

Second politicians get life and he comes out of self-imposed coma. Third one is to be killed coming out of the parliament just to tell the DARK-AGE-GROUP has not ended and was in the capital to get demographics and statistics of everything from rikshaw smoke to clean roads to high standard cars and living standards to double patti paan, gold leaf 8, 9, 10 number.

Fourth is not to be politicians as NGO`s; thanks to Uncle Sam and Maleeha Lodhi & Co; as security would have been beefed up around them and security jobs go hot hot hot like telecom.
Fourth is Wadayra..!!!! get one, strip him and make him walk naked, yeah full naked. This would at least ventilate the frustrations and the everyday rant of such people in the evenings donning their names with Maa`s and Behans.
Next day papers would be colourful and 18+ mentioned at the top instead of translations of the Holy Scripture.

And then an ant, (sent on purpose from the lobbies), bites me and dreams is Harry Potter and his magical wand.

``the opening of an Israeli consulate, for example, or the return of Altaf Bhai...``

I wonder why all so called karachittes (never heard this phrase b4 until recently, it`s quite similar with karalites of india ) like to call Altaf Hussain ,ALTAF BHAI, yaar he is an OOLLLDD shiiiittt, at lease show him a little respect and call him UNCLE or CHACHA.

ON the contary, Shandana Minhas maybe you haven`t visited Mahagir Camp yet, this is even beyond your wild expectation.

Funny article.
You should try living where I live to really understand the problem, near Ayub Park (Rawalpindi), right behind the Great General`s residence. There is one road that goes from there to the parliament in Islamabad. The blue area is also close to the parliament and that is where I have to go everyday. The general also has to go there. Aren`t you licky you live at the other end of Pakistan.
Question: Why do so many guys in Pakistan make crank-calls?

no lahore bashing ? are karachiites finally getting over their lahore-complex ? unbelievable. normally they cant even go to the loo without comparing it with going to the loo in lahore. especially true for the writer of the subject piece i.e SM.

Shandana,

Very nice. Makes visiting Chowk (after a long gap) interesting. Forgot that it had good writers.

But I found it somewhat melancholic. Perhaps my imagination, no?

Very nice, Shandana! Let me know where I can sign up for the civil disobedience movement. Would be nice to not get run over by a ninja bastard though.

dear ms.minhas, you always have problems with security guards, LOL. this was a nice read because you are dealing with serious matter of the city with small egs. the cop and your baby talk was funny. and crank calls, dont ask. sometimes there is no talk only breathing.

always enjoy your work.
