we had highly intellectual and civilized discussion here about old Karachi by intensely civilized gentlemen from Pakistan. doesnt it look pretty ?

when nature calls after a night of debauchery any corner on the street ``looks`` like a restroom. it is the same everywhere lahore, peshawar, or karachi or in amreeka for that matter.

batli vaala has obviously gone bonkers. In his futile attempt to divide mohajirs into various groups he has taken an untenable position. Little does he realize that Farooq sattar and many others belong to the ethnic group he admires who are part of mqm. As far as mohajir (all hues) doing for the economy for karachi. They should look at the SITE area. It sure has a lot more than ghanga Ram biscuit factory or the dalmiya cement factory
prepartition karachi was comparatively little more than a sleepy village... when compared to a metropolis of 15 million ppl.. growth comes at a price.. and u can`t pick who comes to the biggest city of the country.. Bombay has faced similar issues..
The are differences ofcourse..
When batli vala talks about streets being washed he fails to mention that karachi was the capital of pakistan then... this practice stopped as the capital was moved to islamabad..in 1958..
army has been the may reason behind a lot of the problems in pakistan along with feudal rulers with some industrialist thrown in... and ofcourse ethnic/sectarian/external strife...
he talks about mohajir contribution to karachi...
school, colleges, university: adamjee, sir syed, hamdard, habib, baqai.. waghera waghera
banks: hbl, bcci, ubl, mcb etc
Remember it was bhutto who nationalized the assets and since then a lot the investors have not invested in karachi.. this why we don`t have birlas or tatas in pakistan..
read more at : http://richpaki.tripod.com/ read about the impact of fall of dhaka...
It is true that most muslims who came from the gangetic plains did not have a lot of capital with them unlike some of the ones from junagarh/kutch and gujrat..
but these people were overwhelmingly better educated and did their part to get the country going. But the feudals and the army had other plans.... the rest as they is history..

Asif mian,
Ab zayada bachay na banoo... Karachi has changed in the last twenty years or so but we know where is what.
I don`t agree with Behram on many things but he has every right to talk abt the old karachi as we knew it and how it has been ruined by some people.
#492 Posted by jang on May 4, 2006 11:01:12 am
how do the peers in othe cities compare to those in karachi? e.g. multanis, lahoris and last but not the least peshabaris?

Look closely, it is batli vala who has spewed the most bakvaas. He must have had a few too many of his batlees... talking about being clinically depressed. I am sure dinosaurs felt like that as they became extinct. ;)
Hp comments were generally to ungal you but he does believe in some weird stereotypes and that is his own problem. Both him and the cantonment contaminant are too old to change their ways...
urstruly is a kahanii baaz and he is critical of just about everybody ......
aquarius .. sees evil in ev1 but himself.. but he seems to know a little bit about karachi and karachiites in recent times.. unlike hp and the batli vala...
raw_dust and farangi_kush seem to have a better overall picture but diameterically opposite views ...
(ps: i said goad not gored ! :)

``especially the urdu-speaking brand of Qasais from coming to the west even on a tourist visa. Data collection has become so easy, and addresses of localities can be suggested.
For example, I have no problem in giving visas to those from gujrati speaking Kharadar, wheras I would have a tough time in allowing those from Golimar.
But, heck these thugs will always play the political asylum game of being killed, etc. Most western nations have developed a sharp eye on who actually are the killers of Karachi. It is the same rascal (for the most part) who took sanctuary in the bosom of the benefactors.``
wow, i never thought of that. brilliant!
but i was talking about karachi`s future not the West.
karachi`s future is firmly in hands of karachi bhayyas. you ``civilized`` guys are dying and are soon gonna be the citizens of Oblivion. future belongs to those who make babies and we know who is at work in that department. :-)

You are absolutely right. Mohajirs should not be peeing on the streets of Karachi. They should be peeing on your face. Your mouth seems to be a pretty good hole for dumping bodily waste.

Dear Raw_Dust Sahib:
Memons, Bohras, Ismailis, Kuchhis, christians, hindoos, etc. are there to protect my Karachi. Murderous thugs and goonda days are really numbered. We can all work together in identifying that actually the terror shop is in Karachi, and make this absolutely sure that the west does not allow any Karachi domiciled person, especially the urdu-speaking brand of Qasais from coming to the west even on a tourist visa. Data collection has become so easy, and addresses of localities can be suggested.

So what can one expect from these thugs who are in the western enlightened society?
Respectfully submitted,

{I am amazed at your ability to distinguish among various Muslim people as they urinate. I thought the rites of circumcision were pretty much standardized in the 7th century. }
You are correct. It is absolutely amazing when urdu-speakers urinate from their mouths, and that is exactly what the All Tuff brigade has been doing since the mid-1980`s. As such demographics or no demographics we would have to work twice as hard to bring these new urinating creatures into the enlightened world.
Western politicians may not be familiar with these new creatures who can urinate from their mouths. I have never seen an urdu-speaking women urinate. Have you?

Dear Salim:
{Consider me an Indian from now on. I am so disappointed. Take care. }
Please don`t be disappointed, because enlightenment is rather confusing. Truth hurts. Realize this as a new chapter in your upbringing and in your education. After being born into an Iranian/Turkish family, I thought that you were authentic. To top it all you potrayed yourself to be a shia. And now you are spouting all the thuggery of the All Tuff brigade. Why?
As a shia, don`t you realize that of all people you should be against the killers who killed over 22,000 of Karachiites. All Tuff and his goondas have the killers manufacturing facilities in Korangi, and not some economic center for the Fortune 500 business that you and your ilk like to take credit for. Do we have any high rise business centers in Korangi? Obviously not.
Let us take Nazimabad or ground zero as an example. What economic activity is going on over there? Except for charting out some hate literature, what do your writers know about civilty? Heck, these thugs threw shoes at the Quaid-e-Azam in Houston, and you want love from the country that he helped create. You are surely loosing your head at this young age of 26.
Ah! you also want to bring some more fuel to Karachi for the hate that is already there. Wah reh Wah, you really have some compassionate heart. You have not even uttered a single sentence of repentence on the hate and death that your All Tuff brigade has promoted in Karachi. Because you do not care.
You want us to consider you an Indian. Heck, I wonder if I should consider you a human? That is the real question.
Respectfully submitted,

Behram1 #482, {``Only the urdu-speakers would pee on the streets of Karachi. ..
Never have I seen a Bohra, a Memon, an Ahmedi, or an Ismaili pee on the streets of Karachi. Only the puveyors of hate would do such a thing. ``}
Behram Bhai,
I would have to agree with you about the Urdu language. In fact, it is rather common for people to urinate after speaking Urdu. And with all those difficult Farsi and Arabic words, the poor Paki Punjoos do much more than urinate when they have to speak Urdu.
I am amazed at your ability to distinguish among various Muslim people as they urinate. I thought the rites of circumcision were pretty much standardized in the 7th century.
Keep it up if you can - you are getting hilarious and making a pretty good joke out of yourself too.

behram sahib:
law of natural selection is against you and the other civilized karachiites. they are getting extinct, you know what i mean? karachi is swarming with all these uncivilized muhajirs and will still have the same demographics 100 years from now (pakistan or no pakistan). you should really do something about it, i.e., if you can.
regards.

{personally, i think my forefathers made a colossal error in migrating to pakistan. }
Yes, Dear Raw_Dust, then if you choose, you have a right to go to wherever you want. And please don`t let the door hit you in the back.
Karachi was being daily washed until the mid-1950`s. That is almost a decade after independence. And the mohajirs may not have been employed at the City government.
And this is the point that you and your ilk seem to miss rather disingenuously.
{wese, unloading your bladder out in the open just feels better .. no matter where, in a field or in a back alley or on a karachi street... Behram Sahib: you got that right about my kind. hehe. }
So the mohajir bureaucrats get employed in droves and we have a lack of our infrastructure. Well, people who used to live in mansions in India never came to Karachi. Why would folks who believe in cleanliness to be next to godliness, behave like animals? Karachiites would never pee on the streets of Karachi. Only the urdu-speakers would pee on the streets of Karachi. And from his own flat, because after sex with his wife, he was unable to go to the toilet, because his mother was sleeping in the other room.

Now, it is very obvious why so many Indians don`t believe you and, more importantly, don`t respect you. Consider me an Indian from now on. I am so disappointed. Take care.

Aasif Bhai,
You may have kept silent and looked forward to Salim getting gored, but it was rather criminal of you not to speak up about the lies about Mohajirs, MQM, and Karachi that Behram, Aquaris, HP, and Tahmed16 were profusely babbling.
Anyway, I will admit that I am not an expert on Karachi`s geography or the details of the Machieavellan politics of Pakistan. These hate-mongers and racists have tried to turn the issue into one of my credentials as a Paki and a Muslim. The main issue is that Muslim Pakistani women (and men), ``stranded`` in Bangladesh, are converting to Christianity because their country refuses to repatriate them even when Saudi Arabia has been willing to foot the bill. I am politely requesting you to keep the racists from uttering lies and making the murderous Paki Punjoos look like the victims. Thank you, my friend.
