Iam afraid we are in agreement, Israel has as much a right for its existence and survival than any other state. Point being made here was the double standards applied in dealing with `lesser` states, since we acknowledge this reality and agree on the basics, well then thats that.

Israel Shahak, Uri Avnery and many more Israeli intellectuals have and can make their dissent with no fear of reprisals, credit goes to the jewish state. Iran on the contrary as a state does not permit freedom of speech or open debate on its idealogical frontiers. Same can be said for Pakistan where intelelctual discourse is very much monitored and manufactured according to those who matter.

Iam not so sure whether the Iranians were trying to acquire nuclear arms capability, if they were then they should be persuaded not to by international agencies. The way American neo-cons have manufactured, exploited and manipulated information there is a very strong possibility that this is just another ploy to corner the Iranian state, rich in oil and gas resources yet not subservient to American and western interest. Just a theory, time will tell as it did in Iraq.

`` {Something smells awful in this ``love/hate`` relationship between Iran and the US.} That something is the Hindoo India`s @ss, not sure which side to turn their @ss to get their sugar cane therapy. As usual, these Indians will try to please their new masters the MNC`s and then at the same time would want to keep Nehru`s socialistic ideology alive. In the upcoming debate between Iran and the West, India would be the loser, once again in the world political arena. ``

If USA wants to take out Iran there is nothing India could do.

`` Over 300 million Latin Americans are under some sort of a leftist government, and almost every where you see India is becoming a pariah nation. India is in favor of the MNC`s and there is a war against golbalization raging on. But, heck if Hindoos had any brains at the right place they would use it. Most Hindoos` brains are located between their legs. Hindoo mouths are independent of their brains. And that is one major reason they developed Yoga. In Yoga, they can bend over and bring their mouths closer to their brains, when they are shoving it up their stinking @ss. And all the more reason for them to be squatting on railroad tracks. ``

Why are opposed to globalization ? Cannot compete in the global economy ??

Ahmadinejad is indeed a mad man, he talks the language of Ayotollah Khomeni, I think the Iranians must get worried because he is capable of throwing them in a state of war with every one else in this world with nuclear weapons.................he looks like a modern fellow but has the mind of a mullah...............

``Syria-Iran-President
President Ahmadinejad said Friday Palestine is the center of the final stages of the battle between Islam and arrogance, saying the Palestinian Intifada is progressing.

The plots hatched by enemies against Palestine should not be overlooked even for a moment, Ahmadinejad noted in a meeting with leaders of the Palestinian resistance movements in Damascus, Syria.

Ahmadinejad arrived in Damascus on Thursday upon the official invitation of his Syrian counterpart -- President Bashar al-Assad.

He spoke of the importance of the Palestinian cause and stressed the cause will not come be materialized if occupiers continue to occupy even a tiny part of Palestine`s territories.

He stressed that unity, coordination and sympathy among resistance groups for the Palestinian cause is the only guarantee for Palestine`s liberation.

The Islamic Republic of Iran supports the Palestinian cause of statehood and liberation of Islamic territories from occupiers, he added.

Elsewhere, he noted that one of the reasons westerners were lined up against Iran`s undeniable right to gain peaceful nuclear technology was because of Iran`s uncompromising support for Palestine.

The visit of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Syria is considered another gesture of political support to Damascus and the Islamic resistance, said Hamas political leader Khaled Mishaal.

The Hamas official extended his thanks to the Iranian president for his firm stance on the Palestinian issue, saying the resistance group, Hamas, considers resistance the only way to resolve the Palestinians` rights and success of their avowed goals. ``

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad here on Tuesday said `Ghadir` was not an event limited to a particular place or time but the eternal manifestation of truth.

Addressing members of the Board of Trustees of the International Ghadir Foundation, he underlined the importance of the annual celebration of Eid-ul Ghadir, saying today`s world is in ``dire need of imbibing the culture of Ghadir.``
The 18th day of the lunar month of Zil-Hajjah (Jan 19) marks Eid-ul Ghadir, the historic day when Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) appointed the first Imam of Shi`ite Muslims, Imam Ali (AS), as his spiritual heir on the mandate of Almighty God.

The world today is in need of the pure Islam taught by Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), he said, adding that the last and final solution to all problems of this world would be the reappearance and rule of the last Imam of the Age and last descendant of Prophet Mohammad`s (PBUH) Infallible Household -- Imam Mahdi (May God Hasten His Reappearance).

Referring to his government`s four guiding principles of justice, kindness, service to the nation and all-out progress, President Ahmadinejad said these principles all stem from the culture of Ghadir.

The Islamic government of Iran has the obligation to promote and strengthen the culture of Ghadir, he added.

Iran-President-Ghadir
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday sent a message to international conference on Eid-ul Ghadir saying that obedience from Velayat Faqih (Guardianship of Supreme Jurisprudent) is the only way to continue with the Ghadir culture.
World Shia Muslims celebrate the 18th day of the lunar month of Zil-Hajjah (Jan 19) as Eid-ul Ghadir, the historic day on which Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) introduced Imam Ali (AS), as his true successor.
``To Whom I`m Lord, Ali is Lord,`` said Prophet Mohammad (SA) to a gathering of his followers at Ghadir-e Khom, Saudi Arabia, returning home from his last pilgrimage to holy Mecca,
A large number of domestic and foreign Muslim scholars and religious leaders from 20 countries participated in the two-day conference on Eid-ul Ghadir underway in the southern city of Bandar Abbas in Hormuzgan province.
The conference will end later on Thursday.
President Ahmadinejad said in his message that the age of Imam Ali`s governance was the age of justice, serving people and defending the rights of the Islamic nations (Ummah).
``Ghadir is not an event limited to a particular place or time but the eternal manifestation of truth,`` said the president adding that defending and strengthening of the Islamic system is the only way to continue with the culture of Ghadir.
``The truth is that Velayat (Guardianship of Supreme Jurisprudent) is the very soul and nature of Islam,`` President Ahmadinejad said.
He further noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran ``heralds justice and monotheism in the modern world and is a source of hope and attention for the world depressed and its truth-seeking young generation.``
Ahmadinejad stressed that the Islamic Iran has to try its best to provide a model society for all mankind based on justice, kindness, service to the nation and all-out progress, which are the four pivot principles of his government.
``These principles have all stemmed from the culture of Ghadir,`` added the president`s message.
It further stated that the last and final solution to all problems of the current world would be the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (May God Hasten His Reappearance), the last descendant of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) Infallible Household.
The Islamic government of Iran has the obligation to promote and strengthen the culture of Ghadir, said the president in his message.

Does the fact that about only 57 States of the UN voted in 1946 for the creation of Israel; about half a dozen of them were Colonial Masters and the rest vassal , colonies or dominion States, makes it acceptable “to rob Peter(read Palestinians) to pay Paul (read Jews)”? Is that the legitimacy of UN’s decision when today there are just about two hundred UN members?? Is the cliché—might is right the NEW WORLD ORDER to be accepted under duress???
If Israel, in view of the above has the right to exist then Palestinian State in the name of JUSTICE and fairness has greater right to exists, even in its present day emasculated state!

Everyone agrees that the Palestinians are the agrieved party here, point of discussion is Iran compared to Israel when it comes to nuclear capabilities.

When you raise the issue of legitimacy based on historical perspective, then there are many nation states which should not have been created by the same colonial masters post WW1 & II, take the example of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, their very existence as nation states can be questioned. Similalry in Eastern Europe there states which have been created out of neccessity, maybe tomorrow we have another Adolf Hitler or Stalin who has different ideas and the world map changes, its very possible. Muslim empire pre WWI was ruled by the ottomans, should we advocate return of the caliphate and return of the old empires? Its not going to happen for obvious reasons.

Palestinians deserve their homeland, right to live free as citizens of their homeland, how will that happen? Knowing Israeli misgivings, insecure geography, hostile neighbours and strong support from uncle sam any immediate solution seems improbable.

``Poochie, Wahabis financed Iraq-Iran War.. all the ammu to Iraq was unloaded at Saudi Eastern ports (you probably wouldn’t know where that is until you take your head out of your molvi’s ass), and Iran has always expressed disdain for the Saudi Wahaibs for oppression of Shias in the Eastern Part of Saudi Arabia. Now go back and put your head back where it was. Good boy.``

Don`t forget America gave the same threat to north korea, and his AS$ was woupe when north korea threaten them for a nuke strike, where was the world order then and now. The only reason why The so called World power is behind iran is simply because israel is under threat.

#80 writes <<< Secondly, it were callous people like yourself (meaning tahmed) who used the ``10 year iran-iraq where millions were killed`` argument to generate mass hysteria against Saddam, labeling him sole responsible person for that terrible war where Iraq invaded Iran. And now that Saddam is no more, you are using the ``10 year iran-iraq war`` argument against Iran too! >>>

True, and the US wasn`t as ``innocent`` in that war either and the fact remains that regardless of the rhetoric coming out of Iran/Pakistan etc, the ONLY ones that have used the bomb, and used it on civilian cities while claiming otherwise at the time, totally unjustifiably have been the US elite. Not only that they have contemplated using it much more than the mullahs that tahmed refers to. Here is a quote from Michael Parenti:

``Truman threatened the Soviets with the atom bomb when they were slow in withdrawing their troops from Iran immediately after World War II. In 1950, he publicly warned that nuclear weapons were under consideration in the Korean War. In 1953 during the same war, Eisenhower made secret nuclear threats against China and North Korea. In 1954 Secretary of State Dulles actually offered tactical nuclear weapons to the French during their final losing battle in Vietnam, but Paris declined the offer. Johnson considered nuclear weapons in Vietnam in 1968. Nixon contemplated using Nuclear Bombs against North Vietnam on a number of occasions from 1969 to 1972. In 1973, he also thought of using them when it was feared that the Soviets might intervene in the Middle East. On two other occasions, anticipating aggression by Moscow against the Chinese during a border dispute and possible Soviet intervention in the 1971 India-Pakistan war, Nixon toyed with the nuclear option`` Not yet mentioned were the two occasions when President Kennedy contemplated using Nuclear Weapons: during the Berlin Crisis of 1961 and the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. (Michael Parenti 1989, The Sword & the Dollar: 174-175)

Mr. Tahmed32, Sir,
I was very disappointed to see this vulgarity emanating from your pristine being. Whether you agree with Mr. Naqshbandi or not is your own personal problem. When you use a public forum to denigrate a writer and hurl personal insults about his anatomy, you make a veritable derry erry out of yourself. Please behave or take some etiquette classes from yourself - perhaps standing in front of your own mirror. Remember what I said about you? ``Do as I say and not as I do`` fits you quite well.

Re: #93

Salim Chauhan Bhaijan, Salutations.

I think if you get past the insinuations, Tahmed32 Sahib is making a very valid point. All these so called lefty commie terrorists sympathizers, like Asadi Sahib and Naqshbandi Sahib, would never want to live any of the countries they see so victimized by the ``west``. In fact, they would prefer to live in the West, enjoy fruit of the Western way of life, it’s openness and its freedom of choice and expression. Their necks will be chopped in Iran and Pakistan if they said anything against their own barbaric brand of Islam that promotes violence against non-Muslims and minorities. In addition, they just want to be considered Arabo-Persian Central Asian and not Hindu converts to Islam. These guys are embarrassed of their heritage. Meanwhile, the Arabs and Iranians show their kind the middle finger. Have you heard of any Arab wannabe Pakistanis in the higher ranks of Al-Qaeda? These Pakis are only taken as water boys by Sami Laden and his high ranking officers.
