[Muslims have been in India for over 1000 years. It is unrealistic to imagine that they would have remained a colonial power for so long. ]

You misunderstood what I was saying.

I am not saying they would have.

I am saying that between the two evils - that of remaining foreigners and that of becoming naturalized but killing a lot of Hindus, I would have preferred the former.

[Ajeya, the bitter relations between hindus and muslims today is because of the calculated policy of the brits to divide and conquer. If the brits were not there, we would have got along just fine.]

Not true at all. Hindus had developed a very justifiable dislike of things Islamic LONG BEFORE the British landed on our shores.

Re: Zeena
WTF was the PM of Pakistan doing @ the deceased ``traitor`s`` village??
Kindly elaborate.
Thank You.

PM lays wreath at grave of Wali Khan
F.P. Report
PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz Saturday flew to Wali Bagh to condole with Senator Asfandyar Wali Khan over the sad demise of veteran politician Khan Abdul Wali Khan.
The Prime Minister laid a wreath at the grave of veteran politician Khan Abdul Wali Khan and offered “Dua” for the departed soul, who died Thursday after a prolonged heart ailment.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Education Minister Lt.Gen. (Retd) Javed Ashraf Qazi and Minister of State for Finance Omer Ayub accompanied him.
He offered his condolence to late Wali Khan’s elder son Senator Asfandyar Wali Khan, Begum Nasim Wali Khan, and younger son Sangeen Wali Khan. He expressed his profound grief and sorrow over the demise of the veteran politician and described him as a politician who always upheld the norms of democracy.
Shaukat Aziz prayed to Allah Almighty to grant the departed soul eternal peace and strength and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.
The Prime Minister noting the important role played by him in politics said he always followed principles and conviction through out his political life. He said the country has lost a seasoned politician who strove for the promotion of a healthy political culture in the country and rendered numerous sacrifices. Prime Minister said his services would long be remembered and the vacuum created after his death would hardly be filled.
Earlier on arrival at the helipad, the Prime Minster was received by Governor NWFP Khalil ur Rehman Khan, Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani, and high ranking officials of the provincial government.
On Saturday a number of prominent political personalities visited Wali Bagh and expressed condolence with the members of the bereaved family.
These included leader of the house in Senate Wasim Sajjad, Federal Ministers Malik Ajmal Khan Wazir, Dr. Ghazi Gulab Jamal, State Ministers Amir Muqam, and Muhammad Ali Durrani, former Speaker of the National Assembly Illahi Bux Soomro, Chairman PML (N) Raja Zafarul Haq, Former Federal Minister Muhammad Afzal Khan Lala and a number of parliamentarians.

Re:Ajeya#121

[...ranjit,

I`ll have to disagree with you on this point. I would have much preferred if the Muslims butchered say a few hundred thousand less of us, and in return, stayed non-Indians like the British....]

Muslims have been in India for over 1000 years. It is unrealistic to imagine that they would have remained a colonial power for so long.

Ajeya, the bitter relations between hindus and muslims today is because of the calculated policy of the brits to divide and conquer. If the brits were not there, we would have got along just fine.

Re:Zeena

[....All I am saying is, if, you don`t believe in existence of Pakistan, why don`t you pack your bags and leave Pakistan?....]

Zeena, Wali Khan has just died. So I guess he has packed his bags and left Pakistan forever. Does it make you happy now?

By the way, remember that one day all of us have to leave as well. No matter how attached we are to whatever on this earth. Take care!!

(BTW, Indian creation is a big flaw, b/c so, many Indian states wish to have independent countries. If, I live in India and am an Indian citizen, yet calling creation of India flawed. Tsk, tsk, on my mind.

And, haan, India is a big failed state as well. Hindustan is the most ancient country in the world, how come it is still failed and flawed country and still is third world country. There is no dictator there. But, I guess we are astraying the actual topic. Hinud fundos like you can easily say such bigot things about Pakistan. but, Pakistan will exist, no matter what you say or not say...... So, burn your heart and soul on existence of Pakistna, just, like Wali and Ghaffar(the Traitors) did the rest of their miserable..)
There was a frog in a well. It believed the whole world is dark because it only saw darkness around it. It refused to believe there could be light outside the well.
I am sure u have heard the story.
Pakis have this ``frog-in the well`` mentality.
Whatever. If it makes u feel happy.

CHowk staff,
please remove irrelevant posts from this board. I will appreciate it. We are not discussing 1971 here.

Thanks.

Kaal thanks for your kind words. I really would like to respond to your post but I would take my sweet little time to do that as I have some ideas and facts and it will take me some effort to mesh them together.

#79 Fuziar,

Sometimes one goes with the flow. But as kaal said if you begin to think outside the box, you will see different ideas in my posts.

”I know the exact psyche of NWFP people. You are not from that province, to understand their minds,”

Zeena, I know your wars are fought on many fronts and I have no intention to distract you. If your above comment was pointed at me, then I would beg to differ with you. I think I know NWFP pretty well even tho I was not born there. I have visited that area especially Abottabad, Peshawar, Kohat, Parachinar, Mansehra and even some small towns including Hungu, Swabi, Charsada, Ziarat Kaka Sahib, Nowshera , Bada baer, and Akora Khattak to name a few during my summer vacations starting from the age ten. I was in the tribal areas during the height of the afghan war for a short visit from the US in 1987-88.That was my last visit to the area. So, my info may be dated but it is not obsolete.
I have personally known some strong anti Ghaffar Khan and pro Ghaffar Khan people in NWFP and have extensive knowledge of the issues that they have down there between the Hazara Division, Hindku speakings, and Pakhtoons of both Surkhposh and anti Surkhposh kind.
I fully understand where you are coming from and I have no problem with that so let’s chill because I know and I can debate the NWFP situation for hours with even the most diehard anti Surkhposh and pro surkhposh from the NWFP.
Thanks.

PS. You dont have to respond to every post.

Ha, ha.
Another Paki with a lot of hot air!
Take your blinkers off. You only said:
(Let us not forget that the separation of East Pakistan would not have taken place, if, it would not have been an Indian military adventure assisted by USSR with the approval of America)
Looks like u are living in a la-la land.Since when did USA, USSR see eye to eye during the cold war. USA was very pro-Pakistan during the 1971 war and even threatened to send a battleship against India!
Now, do a little research and read the hamdur rehman report.
Also, i was saying Badshah Khan must have believed Pak was a flawed idea, which explains his oppositon to Pak`s policies. Many other people have asked similar question. Pak is an ideological state and exists due to dole from US, international agencies.
And then, this pearl from you:
(Musharaf is not a dictator, he is assisting in the betterment of Pakistan with the help of all Pakistani well known politicians.)
If Musharraf is not a dictator, what is he?
The guy overthrew an elected govt and appointed himself as the President of Pakistan. Pakis may be deluded but the rest of the world is not.
Read the following link:
The link
relevant excerpt:
(Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz is a decent, intelligent man. But real prime ministers, including the ones Pakistan had in the 1990`s, come out of democratically elected parliaments. Mr. Aziz was appointed by a military dictator, Gen. Pervez Musharraf, who has yet to permit the democratic elections he has repeatedly promised since his coup more than six years ago.)

How about Indian army genocide in Indian occupied Kashmir and other states? I am so, glad to see independent Pakistan. I now realise, how hard it was to live with damn Indians like you, full of venoms and hatred for Pakistanis.

And, haan , only Traitors like Wali and his father would have lick Hindus feet. Not good pathans with integrity. They were just Indian slaves with their slave mind sets, even after partition. Now, I realise, why my grand parents struggled for the freedom of Pakistan????

re: Genocide of Bengalis by Paki Army
The following link gives details about the war of liberation:
Rape of Bangladesh
Bangladesh has estimated close to 3 million deaths while other international experts say it was 1-1.5 million dead. It is classified as a holocaust, bringing permanent shame to Paki Army.
Excerpt:
(Violence of 25 March
On the night of 25 March, the Pakistani Army began a violent effort to suppress the Bengali opposition. In Bangladesh, and elsewhere, the Pakistani actions are referred to as genocide. Before carrying out these acts, all foreign journalists were systematically deported from Bangladesh. Bengali members of military services were disarmed. The operation was called Operation Searchlight by Pakistani Army and was carefully devised by several top-ranked army generals to ``crush`` Bengalis.

Although the violence focused on the provincial capital, Dhaka, the process of ethnic elimination was also carried out all around Bangladesh. Residential halls of University of Dhaka were particularly targeted. The only Hindu residential hall — the Jagannath Hall — was destroyed by the Pakistani armed forces, and an estimated 600 to 700 of its residents were murdered. The Pakistani army denies any cold blooded killings at the university, though the Hamood-ur-Rehman commission in Pakistan states that overwhelming force was used at the university. This fact and the massacre at Jagannath Hall and nearby student dormitories of Dhaka University are corroborated by a videotape secretly filmed by Prof. Nur Ullah of the East Pakistan Engineering University, whose residence was directly opposite to the student dormitories.

Hindu areas all over Bangladesh suffered particularly heavy blows. By midnight, Dhaka was literally burning, especially the Hindu dominated eastern part of the city. Time magazine reported on August 2, 1971, ``The Hindus, who account for three-fourths of the refugees and a majority of the dead, have borne the brunt of the Muslim military hatred.``

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was considered dangerous and, hence, arrested by the Pakistani Army. The Awami League was banned by General Yahya Khan. Other Awami League leaders were arrested as well, while a few escaped Dhaka to avoid arrest.)

Pakistan`s creation was never flawed. That is/was/ will be the rightest decision in the world`s history. Musharaf is not a dictator, he is assisting in the betterment of Pakistan with the help of all Pakistani well known politicians.
Wali Khan and Ghaffar didn`t have right to live in pakistan, if, that was flawed.

BTW, Indian creation is a big flaw, b/c so, many Indian states wish to have independent countries. If, I live in India and am an Indian citizen, yet calling creation of India flawed. Tsk, tsk, on my mind.
