zeemax,
nice try, but you lack the art....at least i could identify the irony of both song and piece and connect them...all you`ve done is linked us to the rap section of itunes.....

By the way, can you explain the IRONY, Samina Ji is talking about in her #268? Why is that applicable only here to this piece?
MannyD Bhra ... well .. interesting choice of a winning song ... was it directed at someone or just a nice tune? I dunno ... but so is this one! though not directed at anyone in particular I hasten to add .. just a nice tune.

correction:
Right...anyone who thinks the epitome of humor centers around doodoo/kaka/bj/snot/fart jokes shouldn`t be stomping high ground on tone, got it?

and secondly, how is it that you know schoolmarm from comprehension? Yet again, you are missing the point. Read Subroto`s post if male interactors make you feel less insecure about being schooled...

Re: # 281
Perhaps it would help if you stopped using that schoolmarm tone with everyone, lady.
You made an accusation- a serious one, and as evidence offered a piece that even chowk editors dismissed as ``(n)ot only...a bit of a stretch, the fact is that this article was submitted much before that appeared`` .
Plus, I reserve the right to decide for myself what I find funny and what I don`t, without having gratuitous references made to my malehood (response to something you said on UP).

Burpinder,
Its really too bad that you don`t seem to understand my point in regards to the originality of this piece-the actual jokes themselves are nothing new. Once again, we could go through line after line and find OTHER pieces were the same jokes are echoed.
It may have not been strictly plagiarized...but it is not strictly original either.
Is that clear enough for you?

Hmmm...I just read the interacts. Seems like too many people are judging the author rather than the piece, based on their interacts with him on UP. Well, I`ve had my share of tiffs with Salim too, particularly regarding his language with respect to women, but on the basis of this piece alone, nothing to complain...it made my laugh really hard (thanks Chuhay I needed that, for reasons we need not get into here) and is actually a fair comment on the problems faced by many Muslims today.
One suggestion for the author- try not to take criticism too personally- I can understand you being indignant at those laughable accusations of plagiarism by Samina and her faithful pet JG, but sadna had a valid opinion and making generalisations about her based on her not finding humour in your piece is bad form. I`d especially suggest avoiding using other interactors as shields, that reflects some insecurity on your part.

Salim-bhai, I don`t know how I missed this. Welcome to FP. This piece is frigging hilarious. You have a talent, so stop baiting feminists on UP and make this a regular haunt.

ZehraJ writes,
``You have been repeatedly being condescending to women on and off Chowk FP. Now, when you are taken to task, you are woofing. How sad! Next time, you have an urge to discuss hymenoplastie, please get one conducted on your family women before you dare to make any reference to anyone on Chowk. Your cryptic way of making condescending remarks was duly noted. You needed a kick where it hurts``
Sounds very ironic. So to kick where it hurts, these feminazis have to make condescending remarks about the women related to the writer to get back at him.

Rsridhar #257, 258 {``I find it refreshing that people like Salim are able to laugh at themselves. It is called ``sense of humor`` which perhaps u lack.

This one is a riot.
Thanks for making my day, Salim. ``}
Shri Sridhar Sahib,
Thank you for your support. I am so glad that you laughed. That is precisely what`s wrong with extremists - they don`t laugh enough, especially at themselves.
Thanks also for your support and that short and funny Seagull joke. LOL

Samina #268: ``you`ve taken the line from an Oscar winning song that I have used IRONICALLY in reference to this piece for several posts..``
I know that you second graders always look down upon us kinderharteners, but can you please explain the irony you see in reference to this piece for several posts?

Zeemax #267: `` this blow is a knockout ... but isn`t it below the belt? (pun intended ....)``
Zeemax Pai: Do you really think it was a knockout? Thank you for the ZarraNawzi but it was just a gentle ribbing for our Professor of Ebonics. She is still standing, swaying a little bit perhaps, but she always sways a little bit anyhow.
Below the belt? Nah, notice my wimpish substitution of `marketing agent` for `pimp`. Samina Ji is trying to publish the first ever book written in Ebonics.
#271: `` Where`s zeena? It would be fun having her join the pillow fight!!!``
Zeena, Jawahra, Omar; all pious Muslimahs, have alredy laughed at Salim`s effort.
By the way, can you explain the IRONY, Samina Ji is talking about in her #268? Why is that applicable only here to this piece?
#272: Sorry Zeemax Pai, was away for a while. Good to hear from you though after all these years.
