He wasn`t ridiculing it because it was small. He was ridiculing it because it looks ridiculous. But no one has a monopoly on being ridiculous .. I guess ... you take the cake anytime!

masadi #81: i dont think pointing to areas of confluence between you and the mullahs is a distraction. indeed, that is the central point - a desi babu is a desi babu, whether he is a hate-spouting mullah, a big-talking masadi, or a lowlife arjun.
All cut from the same bloody cloth. that is the point.

zeemax: arjun ridiculing a car because it is so small was merely demonstrating his own cheap values (since only cheapsters would ridicule a car for being small). you respond by showing a bigger car, sayng this is not all that is produced.
you desi babus are a laugh a minute.

masadi: so you confess to being a follower of the halwa lovers. and they taught you to demand tea while having your halwa as well.

``Alf`` A purely Pakistan-made vehicle..
You`re mistaken. In fact this is the 100% drop-dead low-cost vehicle purely made in China and sells for Rs. 100,000 retail. But Chinese are also making cars like these:

Once again I tremble when I say that I agree with him. Now can you all return to the topic posted by HP; tahmed has caused enough distraction here.

Missed this point ...
Actually, it does. Economic gains made by the skilled and semi-skilled workers make their way down to the people who provide goods and services to THEM.
Right. That`s exactly what that idiot Shaukat Aziz said when asked how increased production of motorcycles will help people who can`t afford to buy them? He said more motorcycles on the roads will mean ... wait for it ... more `tyre puncture repair` shops.
Trickle downers suck ... it only means rich getting richer and poor remaining poor.

[That`s complete BS. India`s growth is not solely based on the service sector, only largely so.]
Correct. That`s the difference between semi erect and fully erect. India`s main driver for growth will result in coitus-interruptus.
[Also, the manufacturing sector is now poised for rapid growth, with Chidambaram`s budget.....blah ...textile exports to reach $50 billion by 2010..
Listen my friend. The name of the game for wage growth & higher standard of living is continuous and persistent value addition. But in a global village, you need to have some competitive value in manufacturing as a base to start with. Then you add on to that. Take China. I bought a DVD player a year ago which died within a year. When I replaced it now, it came with a year`s warranty, many more features, and just damn good ... at the SAME price of a year ago. That`s called competitive advantage. India doesn`t even produce decent RAM chips let alone things like DVD players. Chidambaram`s budget will no doubt put it on the right track but India is just too far behind and you can`t leap frog into high value addition.
As for textiles, this is a low value added item UNLESS India is producing 600 thread count material. Both India and Pakistan produce no more than 24 count which is basic cheap stuff, and making more of the same does not add to labour skills and the resultant wage growth.

#77 tahmed writes <<< masadi #74 So, now you have a couple of fatwa to kill you from those four halwa-eating mullahs in #73? ha! ha!
You should do something about your paranoia!! >>>
tahmed, take it easy, those mullahs weren`t big shots, they only commanded street corner masjids. The fatwas were conveyed to me in absentia, like Pat Robertson`s fatwa for Hugo Chavez. Mullah Zeemax reproduced a similar fatwa on here as well. Fatwas are a dime a dozen, only the US media picks up on them when propaganda points can be scored.
<<< I am awed to be on the same internet website as you. >>>
As you should be. Now make some chai to go with that halwa.

masadi: or maybe it isnt paranoia. maybe the mullahs really do have two fatwas to kill you. maybe you are on the wanted list of the FBI. Perhaps ISI has a special ``Masadi Squad`` tasked to track you down.
But you are too clever for them!! You are a Strategic Thinker who can write big things!!
I am awed to be on the same internet website as you.

#67 HP, <<< US never got a pass on its human rights abuses. It has always been severely criticized all over the world and that is one huge reason why the public opinion the world over had remained against several US admins >>>
It always gets a pass that is why it touts its ``moral superiority`` at every occassion. The reporting of US atrocities by the US media has always been selective and has followed elite opinion more or less, Chomsky wrote a book on that based upon the products of this media, his evidence is quite credible even though he lacks that ability to write clearly.
Further the reporting by this media of US atrocities has never been presented as a condemnation of an entire culture or political establishment as the atrocities of others are presented. At the most it is treated as incidents that are isolated and those facing the brunt are the small players. Don`t forget that this media is responsible for creating a positive image of US hegemony around the globe that is why the image of the US in the eyes of people around the globe, other than the areas that are in the process of facing US barbarism, is quite positive.
#73 tahmed, you losing your mind? The mullah`s didn`t teach me anything, they put a couple of wajib ul qatl fatwas on me, that`s all.
