No they haven`t. And you can get them through RSS feed readers as well. There isn`t a point at all. Which is why it`s so perplexing. The consensus among bloggers seems to be that it`s negligence, and that it won`t last, but my point is why do it in the first place? It`s very perplexing.

Have they banned anonymizer/shadowsurf or other web proxy services? If not, there`s no point, is there?

Glad to hear it. Perhaps the problem is slowly getting fixed. As for me and all the folks I know here in Lahore, and the people sporting the ``Don`t Block the Blog`` banner online, they aren`t able to do it.

I`m not meaning to suggest that this block will last. But the fact that there is a block at all gives me great pause.

Really? Then I`m sorely mistaken and I apologize. I was in Dubai for a while, on several different occasions, and couldn`t access Orkut. I heard the same from others. But perhaps it`s also an ISP-specific issue.

Writer should have checked with some Pakistanis , and should have verified such a tall claim. Infact I am right now viewing My BLOG . at www.blogger.com and seems to have NO PROBLEM , whatsoever.

ah..and everything comes back to normalcy after the departure of Bush & Co.

if internet was the solution - it wouldn`t have dawned in Pakistan - and so on.

if one is blocked others would sprout up - this is the privilege we have - arrest one journalist and it produces more jobs for the wandering ones, although for a time being.

everything is to go the Big Brother`s way until everything loses out economic benefit, which it won`t in the near future.

river can`t be stopped, it can be stooped upon and fished. Block one today - hundreds are there and there`s no scarcity of people who would respond - Allah Khair karay ga and there you go - VOILA..

so this (column) is premature..let the tide settle and everything would be clear..Could they stop basant..?
