[All other immigrants seem to be getting along hunky dory in their respective communities all over the world, except us muslims. Why? Hasn`t it occurred that our own idea of tolerance and acceptance of foreign beliefs in our own native lands can also be found in people belonging to another land? Obviously we muslim immigrants left our allah-blessed muslim nations because the situation there is worse than kafir lands. So why complain now? If the situation is so bad, why not go back to dear mama land? Why should the kafirs change for us?]

So the government of Netherlands has got a new test for immigrants. They got to watch a video where two men kiss each other and a topless woman emerges from the sea in a crowded beach. Those who find the video disgusting are going to denied immigrant status in Netherlands.

The potential immigrants have to BUY the video. So it is not like paying $10 to watch porn on your hotel TV. It costs quite a bit more.

Hopefully not someone from the Nation of Islam.

Let alone western kafir countries like Australia, even Islamic Malaysia is kicking out Pakistanis because of their inability to integrate positively with the local population. Read this:

Kuala Lumpur, March 14 2006 - Malaysia is to crack down on scores of Bangladeshis and Pakistanis - who a minister says look like Hindi film actors - who arrive on student visas to study English language but end up working illegally on construction sites or in restaurants.

Besides flouting visa rules, they cause ``social problems``, Home Minister Datuk Seri Radzi Sheikh Ahmad said, but did not elaborate what these ``social problems`` were.

``They have blue eyes and look like Hindi film actors and they create social problems here,`` Radzi was quoted by the local media as saying.

When told that Bangladesh had been replaced by Pakistan as a source country for foreign workers where the people had similar looks, Radzi said he anticipated ``similar problems.``

More shocking behavior of muslims in kafir lands can be found here:

[why Pakistan is still as wretched as it was when it first came into existence.]

If this were true, it would be a compliment to Pakistan. But all indicators and parameters show that Pakistan is far worse today than it was in 1947. All its priorities are screwed up. It has not succeeded even on its single minded obsession into which it has poured all its energy & resources - to destroy India with a million pricks. A million pricks it certainly has, but they haven`t been able to do sh!t to stop India`s re-emergence as a great civilization. Even becoming a chinese colony hasn`t helped it.

Pakistan can learn from the Indian muslims who are destined to become the spokespeople and torchbearers of tolerant Islam worldwide, including Australia. Or it can continue to repeat its follies and see itself get dismembered into insignificance as surely as it was once taught in 1971. If it doesn`t learn soon, Afghans are likely to teach it a new lesson in the near future.

[Israel and Pakistan were created at the same time in human history. Now you tell what is the state of the nation that depends on Arab bheek for oil and madrassa money. Allah ke naam de de baba.]

Yaar Khalid, not many Pakis ever pause to think why Israel (or even India), created at about the same time as Pakistan was, have arrived on the world stage and why Pakistan is still as wretched as it was when it first came into existence. But most Pakis are worried about whether Islam permits this, Islam permits that and other such BS (one Paki I know of has a Gandhi fetish) that have absolutely no relevance to their day to day lives. Unless they overcome this mindset, there is absolutely no hope for Pakistan.

You don`t have to apologize for associating with the left. Left, right, up, down are all relative. Direction is meaningless. Think scientifically - if a muslim astronaut ever went into space, which direction he would pray? East, west, left, right etc. are meaningless.

As regards to muslim assimilation in modern societies, we should learn from the Jews. They have suffered from the worst kinds of discrimination and racial violence. That is why the whining from the aussie muslims sound like a kindergartener soiling its pants and blaming someone else for it.

Jews have been ridiculed and massacred, and they continue to be so even to this day. However in retaliation they never strapped on bombs, covered their genitals with aluminium foil or blew themselves up in crowded places. They don`t vandalize shops or burn flags and effigies.

What did they do? They went back to their ``ummah`` and created a democratic society there, without military dictators. They educated themselves into the brightest brains of the century. They gathered Nobel prizes in all fields and became valuable assets for their adopted countries. With their wealth they created companies, set up hospitals and world class educational institutions everywhere they lived. One thing they didnt do was keep whining about discrimination. They faced it and responded positively.

Israel and Pakistan were created at the same time in human history. Now you tell what is the state of the nation that depends on Arab bheek for oil and madrassa money. Allah ke naam de de baba. Are you still wondering why Allah has always been on the side of the kafirs? Like the kindergartener with the soiled pants, the blame lays within. Let us stop sh!tting on the adopted countries we live in. Let us look inwards. And let us help the societies we live in - even if they are kafir societies. After all, we made the choice of living there, and we could always go back to mama land if we wanted to.

If by ``majority`` you mean ``most people I know``, then I give up, there is no argument. You can continue to live deep inside your delusions.

On the other hand, by ``majority`` most others refer to people`s opinions surveyed using scientific and respected polls. In this case, the majority viewpoint throughout the world is that:

- muslims of all directions (left, right, near left, far right, west facing, east facing...) are less tolerant to western values than other immigrants
- muslim immigrants generally speak one thing in public and the opposite inside their circles
- muslim immigrants generally do not oppose or protest violent acts of fellow muslims
- muslims immigrants generally get brainwashed by frothing mullahs and maulvis after the Friday prayers
- muslim immigrants generally don`t protest ill-treatment of minorities in their own ummah lands
- muslim immigrants generally believe that kafirs deserve to die
- muslim immigrants generally hope and pray that the kafir lands become dar-ul-islam

The solution? These rabid muslims must be rounded up and deported to their original ummah lands where they can live in harmony with the other beards. It is a very simple solution and it is happening everyday. For example, plane loads of pakistanis being rounded up and escorted in flying containers to their wonderful Pakistan is fairly common news. It is a fact that Pakistani muslims have brought shame and disrepute to peaceloving muslims from elsewhere.

If you feel discriminated in kafir lands, go back to ummah lands and campaign for equal rights under shariah law. Then you can also become ``one eyed``, ``one limbed`` or ``one fingered`` like the rest of us.

Re: # 7

Thanks Khalid!

I don`t think you are talking about the majority of Muslims living in the west. It`s the tiny fringes on the far-right (and on the far-left...like you) that are just good at making noise. Most people I know make a good effort to integrate within western society. However, it does take time for migrant communities to be fully integrated. Representation is a major part of this integration.

Now, putting your one-eyed views aside, what is your solution?

Kulharee - The US is a good example. It is truly a melting pot - for those who choose to melt into it. But Muslims (generally speaking), want to be in the pot but don`t want to melt with the rest. It is no wonder that they feel they are treated like slag.

It is the worst dilemma to be in - on the one hand muslims leave their ummah lands in a hurry to get into the first container heading for the west. On the other hand, the ingrained religion teaches their brainwashed heads to reject anything western.

Such a psychological conflict inside their heads must certainly unleash bizzare behaviors. And we see examples of that everyday.

Re: # 5

Khalid, in the US, all migrant groups went thru their initial challenges, so recent Muslim immigrants in the west are no different in that respect. Turn of the last century, in NYC, “Irish not allowed” signs were not uncommon, or Jews living in lower east side ghettos, or Italians, or Greeks. Our Governor Mario Cuomo couldn’t get a job at any Law firm in NYC (this was in the 60s) because of his Italian heritage. The trend later continued with Hispanics, and so on. The writer is suggesting that Muslim immigrants’ challenges are no unique and each group braves tests offered by a new culture (it is taxing on both sides, not just on immigrants). And out of those challenges come the solutions and opportunities. Therefore, it is important for immigrants to speak up and find their niche, and suggest alternatives. It is the not the same as crying foul as you seem to be suggesting. However, your point is very valid.

When it comes to muslim issues, it is always a ``problem created by someone else``. This article is no different.

``The aussies must do this : the government must do that : the politicians must do this``.

This pattern is common among muslim immigrant all over the world. I could replace ``Australia`` with ``My Favorite kafir Country for immigration`` and the sorry story is still the same.

All other immigrants seem to be getting along hunky dory in their respective communities all over the world, except us muslims. Why should the kafirs change for us?

Pssst. Here is a little hint. Let us look inwards first.

It would be a mistake to blame John Howard`s success only due to racism. Prudent economic management and sustained economic growth have also been a factor. Not many are willing to go back to the days of 17% interest rates as in the last term of the labour government.

Then there is the TINA (There Is No Alternative) factor. John Howard has seen off four Labor leaders, from Keating to Latham and Kim Beazley`s back again for a third crack at losing, er I mean defeating John Howard.

Some commentators have noted ``Howard is a political success because he has cleverly manipulated the growing sense of fear in Australian voters.`` ``He has given the electorate simple ideas (personal responsibility for everything, including health, education and employment) and people to hate (dole bludgers, Aborigines, asylum seekers, terrorists) as distractions from hard, complicated reality.`` - so what? He is a canny politician and any politician worth his salt will do whatever is required to stay in power.

And as for Pauline Hanson’s politics of division, I think the voters sent a clear message by rejecting her at the elections. Her One Nation Party collapsed — in her home state of Queensland, where it briefly boasted 11 seats, just two remain. She tried a back door entry via new south wales and failed.

Saeed Khan,
I have been in Australia for about two years now.I have not faced racism on a daily basis in Sydney, but I do feel that the Anglo Aussies do not want multiculturalism and are feeling threatened by immigrants. Liberal party`s John Howard, has in the past made comments against Asians. It is not a surprise that the party has won the last three elections. The Labour party which favours immigrants and has been wooing immigrants for votes, has been floundering.
Pauline Hanson, is now into real estate , will she sell a house to an immigrant ?, definately. I wrote a letter to Sydney Morning Herald, regarding this, asking if Hanson, who doesnt want immigrants will sell a house to an immigrant.
Peter Costello`s recent comments are seen by anaylists as an attempt to repair his damaged leadership campaign. In doing so he has needlessly inflamed opinion against muslims. I was also dissapointed that channel nine choose to interview Hanson with regards to Peter Costello comments.

Re: # 1

Thanks Kulharee!

I guess all new communities go through this at one stage or another.

Muslims in Australia are relatively new and don`t have the kind of numbers you do in the US or Europe.

I agree we could learn from community experiences in the US and Europe.

As far as leadership is concerned all Muslims living in the west could do better!

You have got your Wogs and Skips, and we’ve got our Chinks and Spicks. But in terms of race relations, Australia is way way behind the Unites States, but not far behind Europe. Recent unrest in France made the Europeans re-evaluate their public policy of ghettoizing Muslim migrants and keeping them as close to the margins as possible. In USA, that’s not been the case since the turn of the last century. Part of it is the concerted effort in the political environment (to attract migrant votes) and part of it is the leadership within the migrant communities. Aussie Muslims should invite some speakers from the US Muslim community. That will surely help.
