One of the best sources of looking for internships these days are the e-groups, like Yahoo or MSN. You might find a lot of internship offers from several companies in either the general job groups, or specific groups of several institutes.
The article is a very nice one. However, I do not agree with the traditional approach of contacting HR, as HR is too much crowded as well as unco-operative in most organization. The best way is to encash your relations, friends, father, uncles, uncles of uncles etc.
