Drsohail, this is what happened in old delhi toa sex dr:
please take care of yourself.

Owner of ‘sex clinic’ shot by disgruntled patient
Tribune News Service

New Delhi, May 28
A doctor was shot dead today morning just outside a hospital near Gole Market in New Delhi district. The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Abbot (28), a Registered Medical Practitioner running a ‘sex clinic’ in Paharganj.

While the investigations are in progress, the police said that Rajesh was a resident of Rajouri Garden and was running his clinic in Paharganj.

The incident took place at 11.50 am when a person, later identified as Javed Ali, opened fire on the doctor indiscriminately killing him on the spot. He reportedly pumped at least 12 bullet into Rajesh. He was taken to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Immediate after shooting the doctor, the accused tried to escape from the spot but was apprehended by the public and handed over to the local police.

The police recovered a revolver from his possession, the weapon of offence used in killing the doctor, police said.

It seems that Ali, a patient of Dr Abbot since 2003, was not “satisfied” with the treatment, as he was not getting the desired results.

The accused, hailing from Nand Nagri, was tracking the doctor’s movement for the past few days.

This morning, after the doctor parked his car near Gole Market metro station, Ali shot him outside Kalavatisharan Hospital.

The police are trying to find out whether the revolver was licensed or not. Meanwhile, a case under relevant sections of IPC has been registered in Mandir Marg police station.

In another incident, an MCD contractor was shot at by unidentified persons in North West Delhi today.

Sudesh Kumar (45) was found with two bullet wounds lying in his car in Rohini’s sector 24 at about 6.15 pm, police sources said here.

Some empty cartridges were also found near the car, sources said. Kumar was rushed to Jaipur Golden Hospital and his condition is stated to be serious.

Thank you for that shair.

Lot of my friends in my class were in love with this teacher, and she had no clue about it.
How many young hearts were broken by her. She is probably in her 60ies now.

#62 yes..while part of it indeed is treating folks with serious illness, one gets a feeling that part of the practice is getting paid for being ``non-judgemental`` towards pathological behavior (or fantasies)..kinda like the catholic priest.

Dear Dr. Sohail,

Needless to say, no insult was meant through my interacts on this board either to you, or to Dr. Lokraj (who is a darling, of course!) or to your profession or his!

My moments of “inspiration” are captives of the moment and the subject matter and authors are usually secondary – perhaps it just happened to be your “lucky” day/night. I hope you are not shattered and crying in your pillow like those characters on Zee-TV soaps, for example! There is ample “creative” stuff of mine lying around in these chowk puddles – either in the form of i-logs or prior interacts – you are welcome to look at that if you like. (Warning: not many can handle my “stuff”!) You may wish to hurry, however – I am known to delete my i-logs sooner or later and chowk is bound to kick me out sooner or later, also (no big loss to either party)!

If it is any consolation, my poking fun at psychoanalysts (a profession that I actually regard very highly) is like throwing delicate flowers in comparison to what I do to lawyers – especially if they are responsible for most of the current maladies that haunt the subcontinent and happened to have died on September 11, 1948!

Sincerely,
BJ Kumar

dagderbabu salam,

yar what are patients to you are just plain azzoles to some of us. e.g. one aqauintance is a unscrupleous predator (uses authority to get extra-marital secual favors) and womanizer but gets all jealous if someone even looks at his wifes bosom. for you he is a patient who needs therapy, to me he just needs a good spanking and a reality check.

Re: # 58

dear jang...i wish life was so simple. a simple spanking, a little prayer and the problem

solved. People cannot even control smoking or over-eating without help. from knowing what

we SHOULD do to actual DOING there is a long way. People come to see a therapist as

they know they would be judged and judged harshly and then persecuated and penalized

by their dear ones and then labeled a PSYCHO case for the rest of their lives. I hope one

day people can talk about their anxiety and depression and paranoia and other emotional

problems the way they can talk about diabetes and high blood pressure and not feel

ashamed and embarrassed. In my clinic I see so many professionals...lawyers and

accountants and professors who are well respected in the families and communities but

emotionally suffer as they have a dark side that they cannot share with others. The reality

is that we all have a dark side. In a conservative, religious and traditional culture we are

asked to suppress and repress our dark sides rather than talk about it and learn to accept

it. It just makes us HUMAN.

In Eastern culture people go to holy shrines for their emotional problems rather than seeing

a therapist not even realizing that they are suffering because of emotional problems and

can be helped by mental health professionals to lead a happy, healthy and peaceful life.

Somebody told me that there are more Asian Psychiatrists in America than Asia. What do

you make of that? thanks for reading my article. sincerely sohail

Tales from the Dark Couch

(Sounds from the background:

Man lives….in a world he thinks is real…. BUT…unknown to him, there exists another world…The world of the dark couch….)

(Lights brighten and Dr. Sohail’s couch becomes visible)

Dr. Sohail (DS): (Is seen swinging energetically with a fly-swatter)

(Enter Dr. LokRaj)

Dr. LokRaj (DL): (Looks around apprehensively)
DS: Over there….(points to the couch)
DL: But, but, but….
DS: Yes, please park that right here!
DL: It looks so dark!

(DL reluctantly takes position on the couch)

DS: Let’s get started. Tell me all about your love life!
DL: Why?
DS: You need help with your emotional conflicts?
DL: Why do you say that?
DS: Who does not? But YOU are the one on the couch.
DL: I am not here by choice.
DS: Don’t waste time, Time is money (grins). Who are you jealous of?
DL: Nobody!
DS: There you go again - with that denial! You can run from the dragon, but you can’t hide, you know! So who is the third corner of the triangle? Come on, out with it!
DL: What makes you think there is a third corner! What makes you think there is even a second corner? What if I am a single corner?
DS: Alas, you give me no corner! Be truthful - when did you start developing interest in that other woman?
DL: What other woman? (Thinking some more) What first woman?
DS: Don’t weasel out on me. Let me pursue it deeper. You appear like an iceberg, but I am going to get beneath your surface. Tell me, why are you so insecure?
DL: I am not!
DS: Poor self confidence, poor self-worth?
DL: Nope.
DS: Physically unattractive? Uninteresting?
DL: (Show no interest in answering)
DS: Perhaps you need an abundance of reassurance.
DL: Well…
DS: (Brightening up) I KNEW it. There IS something. Hey, I can sense that jealousy from miles - like dry hay! Out with it! Who do you compare yourself with?
DL: Well…
DS: I sense possessiveness. I notice you have a hard time discussing this. Tell me, what do you do for a living?
DL: Well, I am a shrink, too.
DS: Don’t tell me… no it can’t be… you are not jealous of ME, are you?
DL: I wouldn’t call it jealousy! Maybe a bit mad - after all, I have been around here for ages and the newcomer gets handed the shrink column on a platter! Not that I am comparing myself to you in a negative light or any other such mumbo-jumbo.
DS: I see it now - that inability to share your love of shrinking with others! How possessive of you - I bet you mutter to yourself - this is MY chowk! - as if asking others to stay away from here. Tell me, was it sibling rivalry with me or was it the being taken to the woodshed?
DL: I am telling you nothing!
DS: You realize that is a sign of personal insecurity! You need some serious therapy - perhaps group therapy! Are there any other shrinks around who we could rope in? I could give you a volume discount, you know.
DL: Don’t try to get intimate with me. And there is nothing wrong with my self-esteem. Hey, I could come up with a better logo than those two head-joined baldies any day!
DS: Unfortunately, chowk artists are paid just as lucrative wages as the chowk writers!
DL: And I have no difficulty with emotionally romantic relationships.
DS: There goes my pitch about dressing into better shoes… (puts down the discount coupon from the shoe store) You realize that many things in life and in your relationships have no relevance to you.
DL: You mean I ask too many unnecessary questions?!
DS: And you need to ask fewer question!
DL: (Looking worried) You are not going to start complimenting me on my looks, are you?!
DS: You should learn to differentiate that platonic jealousy from getting phone numbers, making dinner dates and weekend trips! Otherwise, your judgment will head south!
DL: Why don’t you reassure me instead!
DS: I am going to bring about an agreement, no matter what!
DL: I want to leave now. It feels too dark on this couch.
DS: It is a painful reality that love has a dark side and sometimes we need to protect our love even from ourselves.
DL: Ciao!
DS: So why did you come here anyway?
DL: I have no clue. The guy with the mop forced me this way!
DS: (Starts preparing his bill)
DL: (Looks over the shoulders apprehensively)
DS: Here you go! (Pushes the bill)
DL: That’s not MY bill!
DS: Don’t get defensive!

(DL tries to bolt, but mistakes the bathroom door for the exit. DS, with a triumphant expression, pulls out a roll of toilet paper from under the dark couch and takes position near the bathroom door. Repeated sounds of flushing are heard. Mercifully, the lights dim. The couch gets even darker!)

Re: # 56 Tales from the Dark Couch

That was very interesting. You should spend some more time to develop the plot. I once wrote an article on Chowk that attempted to portray a shrink-patient interaction in a surreal way.

This profession occupies an ecological niche in modern society that replaces the shaman or the yogi of yore.

dear bjkumar...thank you for analyzing the analyst. I think

therapists are paid friends

and

friends are unpaid therapists.

I take it as a compliment that my articles inspire you. I am curious though.

What do you think is about my writings that intrigues you and fascinates the artistic side

of your personality. You seem to be very creative. Please send me some of your original

Re: # 51

Dear Sabatariq...I am of the opinion that in a healthy intimate relationship both partners

feel respected, loved and appreciated and not controlled by the other. In jealous

relationshipsthat is not the case. So jealousy becomes a hinderance in developing an

emotionally intimate healthy relationship. You do not have to agree with me.
