According to testimonies they worked on the 727 flight simulators at Sim Center Inc. Opa Locka Airport in Florida.
The duress bit , I was under the impression that these blokes are advised not to do anything that will precipitate problems. The box cutter bit is only a theory. Are we sure there was nothing else?
Who is going to tell us? In both cases the government has to accept failure. How are we to know that Atta et al did not have real training on real simulators? Anybody who gave them training is hardly likely to want to attract negative publicity?

Where??? Jetliner simulators are huge establishments housed in seperate buildings and not some video games arcades. E.g the only 747 simulator I know of in Asia is in Bangkok where airlines send their pilots for command training. The only Airbus simulators are in Tolouse, France for their clients. There`s nowhere that a mere hobbyist can buy professional simulator training for 1500 dollars.

2) the AA pilots are not trained like the Israeli`s ... perhaps they were flying the planes under duress ...

Duress with box cutters? Anyway that`s not the US govt`s scenario. They specifically state citing air traffic control communications that Muhammad Atta, Marwan Al Shehhi, Hani Hanjour and Ziad Samir Jarrah were respectively at the controls. If they`re lying about this, God knows what all else they`re lying about.

If u think Indians are not self-deprecatory, you are wrong. You need to read Indian magazines and weeklies. There`s some immatury in Indian TV news analysis from the fresh Uni grads who run the shows. It`d evlove slowly into a mature system after some time.

There are week points in all religions. I dont believe in god nor I follow any religion. Luckily we dont have blasphmy laws in India to stone me or kill me.

As for my compatriots on the board, I am with them on certain issues though I dont approve their churlishness.

Let us assume they did fly the planes into the buildings. Perhaps they did get training , details of which the government does not want to release. I am sure all details have not been published.

Secondly since the AA pilots are not trained like the Israeli`s are perhaps they were flying the planes under duress in the hope that they could eventually foil the hijackers without endangering the folks on board. So perhaps they were disposed of at the last moment when the final path had been set.
It`s a matter of conjecture.

In any case I would have to disagree with you that these terrorists would buy anything for the people they are purportedly fighting for. My experience would be that eventually the government responses would get more and more brutal and even the more tolerant people would support them.
