jang #224 you write ``i am not saying that you pander to the conspiracy theories, obviously you dont....the logic goes thus. you wish that the bombers did not belong to the ummah. so its possible that as a defensive instinct you MIGHT subscribe to a conspicy theory``.
What brilliant logic!!

Zeemax:
IIRC, there was a PBS special (Nova?) that explained exactly how the Towers collapsed. I didn`t bother to watch it since its not something that I`m interested in but search the PBS website and then explain how the physics is all wrong. Just how many Ph.D.s do you have? Physics? Engineering? Aeronautics?

....If Osama didn`t do it - then why is so famous all over the ummah world?....
What a silly question. Because Usama represents the armed struggle to prevent US occupation of Middle East, just as any other Guerilla leader. He has nothing to do with Wahabi or any other ideology. He`s just a fighter. His movement is political, not religious. Usama`s followers never imposed amputations or beheadings for crimes, nor mandatory growing of beards. Taliban did all that because THEY are a religious movement. There`s a huge misperception that Taliban and Usama are one and the same, while they are absolutely not. Got it Sir?
Now, all the tahmeds, arjuns, jangs, mohars, can anyone please tell me if jet fuel can burn twice??? The vindaloo you all had for dinner last night may burn twice, but not jet fuel ....

#218 tahmed, i am not saying that you pander to the conspiracy theories, obviously you dont.
the logic goes thus. you wish that the bombers did not belong to the ummah. so its possible that as a defensive instinct you MIGHT subscribe to a conspicy theory ..a denial of sorts. but the strong supporters of ummah are generally very happy that the great satan was tought a lesson, a bloody nose for its machinations in the middle-east which is ummahs god-ordained jagir. i dont understand why they would (sincerely) believe that the WTC was a cia/yehudi plot.
I suggest that they would protest in public, consider all kinds of possibilities while deeply satisfied with the lessons taught. and yes, many commies also belong to this kind of ``richly complex`` thinking.

Re: # 219, tahmed32:
Firstly, I will wait for jang`s reply to your question before I pick up that thread.
Secondly and more importantly, you have now raised the key question - no doubt, due to some prodding.
Let us first clearly announce that there are intolerant people in both the followers of Hinduism and Islam. I DO! And quite possibly, Harimau belongs to such a Hindu group, though I have long since written him off as a person of interest due to his uncontrolled outbursts on non-religious issues. I would be hard pressed now to document those outbursts now. I believe an effective way to deal with unreasonable people is to fail to note and address them.
Second: I would be the last person to agree to a project that wants to explicitly or implicitly declare Islam as an ``evil religion.`` See my profile. I would not be surprised if some Hindu correspondent indulge in such activities.
Third: Farzana is a Muslim and the radical Hindus may reasonably/unreasonably take issues with her. Though that is not to be defended - if unreasonable path is followed. I do not know what issues related to religion/India that are on your mind. But would like to learn.
Fourth: Of course, you are within your rights if you want ``mullahize`` yourself in response to unreasonable charges. But indeed, there is a legitimate issue regarding not only practical but also theoretical strain of intolerance in Islam. Whether it is present in Mohammad`s teaching is for the Islamic experts to establish, however, its determination becomes moot because, in practice the tolerant Muslims are either ineffectual or complicit. The tolerant Muslims are either intimidated or do not want to uphold the Flag of Tolerance within the fold of Islam. Possibly, because they do not want to forfeit the benefit that accrues from appearing in agreement with views of the Radicals/majority with which they do not agree with.
Fifth: THEREFORE, it is incumbent on the tolerant/progressive wing, if it exists within Islam, to take an open and unequivocal stand to set the record straight. I would be interested in your declaration of your stand.

Yep - it`s the Orwellian ``doublethink`` that ummahites are famous for... on one hand they claim 9/11 is jewish conspiracy - on the otherhand they worship bin Laden for his heroic attack against the satan...
If Osama didn`t do it - then why is so famous all over the ummah world?....

Now zeemax will say the London bombings were a CIA plot because the bombers were known to the CIA..
US `issued alert` on 7/7 bomber in 2003

Inquirer #216 I have been on chowk too long for you to get away with this impression of ``hindu tolerance``. I was referring to the way hindus on chowk (led by harimau) would get on Ferzana Versey`s tail every time she wrote something negative about India. And it doesnt stop there - Because I refuse to bow to the hindu demands on chowk for Islam to be declared an ``evil religion``, that is enough for me to be declared a ``mullah``. (I dramatize a bit on this last sentence, but this is basically what it boils down to).
So go convince someone who doesnt know any better. Better yet - acknowledge the obvious fact that hindu fanatics are very much a reality, just as much as muslim fanatics.

What are you talking about?
#217 Posted by jang on June 19, 2006 12:25:38 pm
interesting conversation. i can understand tahmed being a party to conspiracy theory since he does not wish to see ummah members involved in this. what is confusing is apparently some who are otherwise satisfied with the 9/11 as a just and glorious win for the ummaite causes also considering conspiracy theories. this schizophrenia is rather confusing.

You`re wasting your time with zeemax..It`s like arguing with an anti-evolution creationist nut..facts aren`t relevant to the discussion..
the pre-arrived conclusion is : muslims are innocent victims..anything that goes against this narrative, like OBL discussing the plot and how he hadn`t thought it would be this successful, are all fabrications or part of a larger plot that prove the muslims are even more innocent..

Mohammad Atta`s passport ... copy of the Quran Flight Instructor`s Manual ...????
You spoiler you ... I was itching for someone to say this so I could hit them with a sledgehammer ... ! But even tahmed32 was slippery enough not to `dare` cite `that` evidence.

...a building falling ``within 13 seconds`` (as you put it) when hit by a plane flying at high speed and loaded with jet fuel that explodes on impact?...
Sure. You must be right. Sluggishly combustible jet fuel which is basically Kerosene, and which burns at a maximum temperature of around 800 degrees Celcius has suddenly taken on the qualities of a ferociously explosive demolition agent, vapourising sixty-five tons of aircraft into a puff of smoke with that huge fireball (see below), PLUS melt the entire steel infrastructure of the building down to the basement after it had finished with the foregoing task so it could collapse on itself in 13 seconds ... sure it could do all of the above given the following:
1) The 9,000 pounds or so of jet fuel first burnt to vaporise the aircraft and to make that huge fireball, then recouped itself to burn a second time to melt the steel in the buildings.
2) Jetfuel acquired a burning temperature of 1500 celsius instead of 800.

Does it look like this fireball just may have consumed whatever jetfuel there was available?

...the confessions of khalid sheikh mohd and ramzi binalshibh is convincing enough...
Huh? What confessions? Noone even knows where these two gentlemen are ... confessions in the presence of whom? Kindly elaborate. As far as I know they were not even allowed to testify in the case against Massoui despite the court`s order.
etc ...etc...etc...
