I have no problem with people who think I`m going to hell..I DO have a problem with people who want to hasten the process by bombing subways and flying planes into buildings..

Now, don’t you go about drawing associations with bodily functions and inanimate fruits!

BJK sahib,
You got me and my mind ever dwelling in the gutter.....
I really had no idea what you were talking about, and when I read the word sex and pear together....I googled the damn thing... and a host of things appeared that made no sense but one entry had to do with original sin and something ST Augustine had written about sex and the pear tree. Lord have mercy... I was like what the heck did he mean..... I cant wrap my brain around it...
I mean usually I get sexual inneundo`s well, having written a thorough exegesis of the Kama Sutra myself.....just kidding!
But Now when you mention it...the reference to SEXPEAR is there....

Its good to know that you have moved out of ``primitive`` hindu culture. but you didn`t tell which other ``primitive`` culture you have adopted.
or are you already one of the ``scientists`` in the ``age of reason``.
in that case what would you make of a married person who has nailed his maid, married a kid, slept with his ``adopted`` son`s wife. has been involved with kidnaping and forcible confinement of women, making sex-slaves of them....
how would ``age of reason`` describe these activities?

``i`m merely making the point that there`s a lot of people besides the islamofascists who make the idiotic assumption that there`s a heaven and only their people are going there..``
Yup, I am going to Christian Jewish and Muslim hells, and perhaps each Protestant denomination has its own subdivision of hell too which I will be sent to by this long queue of people who have all the answers regarding my afterlife.
My concern is with this world- the implicit assumption underlying such discussions is that the Quran being immutable, your status in this world too can legitimately be specified by what the Quran says. Why should people be discriminated against here on earth for their belief or disbelief regarding the Quran - this question is nowhere addressed in all these discussions on what the Quran really says.

abay do you even read the articles you post in their entirety??
Anyways, nothing against Islam or converts per se, but sorry to burst your bubble. There are only so many disgruntled folks seeking refuge in alternative, often extremist identities and politics. So I`m figuring the conversion curve will start to slope downwards soon, iff it hasn`t already. And given the nature of most of these conversions, one can only thank Allah that such will be the case.

Make up your own minds, but it appears to me the overriding motive was to offend ... just as satanic verses and the cartoons ...

ShoreSahib #248 If it helps, muslim culture is primitive too. After all, what kind of a culture has adherents who kill daughters in the name of ``honor``!!
As is christian culture. Where hundreds of thousands of ``heretics`` have been burned at the stake in europe in the 16th and 17th centuries alone.
The only culture that is worth the name today is the one that subsisted in the sidelines for centuries in all societies - the culture of scientists. The culture that flowered in europe under the title ``Age of Reason``. And Reason also recognizes that we are always limited in our knowledge, that we need to have some kind of rules of what is right vs wrong to live by - and that is what all religions, at their best and in their essence provide by way of postive contributions to society. My reference to the primitive hindu culture is merely to remind our hindu brethren who would have us believe that one should be ashamed of being a considered a muslim. Or to be labelled a mullah if one points to the postive aspects of Islam at its best and in its essence.
Hope this helps. :-)

Perhaps if you offend the Muslim Psyche, you would awaken its consciousness from the coma its in right now!
Perhaps Offense is needed! It is required! If you think your religion, practices are perfect, why would you ever change them?
Someone has to point the finger and say, `` YOU ARE NOT SO PERFECT`` ``TAKE A LOOK AT YOURSELF``
Your religion is a necrotic amalgam of tenth century cultural practices combined with ignorant interpretations of divine revelations. The living spirit of Allah has left your religion a long time ago leaving a rotting corpse of defunct traditions, evil practices and gross inequity and inequality.
Perhaps Muslims would remember that Mercy is better than Revenge.....
Forgiveness, a divine attribute....
Knowledge, the door to the divine..........
Critical thinking......the key to this door
God is Truth
Al Haqqu
Bhagwan naam Satya...
