Bina Shah July 1, 2006

``In the case of Hirsi Ali, this is a woman who is deeply selfish; who, I suspect, cares not a fig for her Muslim sisters anywhere, but can only be happy when people are hailing her as a hero for standing up to something that, just like little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, is really only a fairytale. The kind with teeth. ``
Persons like Bina Shah turn AD-HOMINEM arguments into an art.............I would recommend Echoboom Saheb to take some lessons from her or enlist her in their noble cause of `protecting` the faith from the `Islamophobics` and ``Islam bashers``.............. If she wants to say anything about the merits of Van-Gogh short film let her come out with the criticsm of the content presented in that short film than taking cheap shots at the presentation style........it was a script with a lot of merit and boldness which Bina can never think of even attempting in her dreams.........

Hirsi Ali admits giving false information about her name, age and method of arrival to Holland. Its also very clear that she has been granted a repreive becuase of her `special` situation.
Her supporter wud like to emphasize her contributions as an anti-Islam voice whereas her opponents will emphasize her misrepresnetation of facts as sufficient proof to discredit her opinions. Whatever maybe the case, it is well documented and accepted fact that she lied on her application.

Hirsi Ali can`t be forgiven for lying. She should not be. Neither Mohammad be forgiven for bringing the curse of Islam on mankind.

Re: # 18
Let me again repeat-
Even if Hirsi Ali lied about something to get entry into Holland that DOES NOT take away the merit from her criticisms against the Islamist view ................... Bina is just following the Islamist Ad-Hominem line of argumentation against the so called `Islam bashers` ............... note how, like her fellow Islamists, she conveniently brands Hirsi Ali with a heinous anti Islamic `agenda` ...............

We know that Islamists and their `moderate` supporters are trying every possible way to silence their critics..............since they cannpt physically eliminate their critics in the western world like they do in their Islamic republics......they are trying their best to spread propaganda against their critics, they have been trying to find every possible weaknesses to pressurize them into submission, they have also been threatening them overtly and covertly with violence...................atleast the propoganda does expose these `moderate` collaborators who revel at the weaknesses of the critics of Islamism .............unfortunately these hare brained Islamists think that a valid argument is one where every premises is `accepted` as TRUE by every one on the strength of the sword..................

Bina, this one stinks! Are you trying to become the Pakistani Farzana Versey?
You expect all Islamic women victims to be kosher while reserving your admiration for the likes of the Prof. Ahmeds - the guy who advocates ``freedom struggle`` in Kashmir?!!
Screw you and your pathetic ``high ground``!

here is what tariq ali said about the controversy in holland.
``One aspect of the orientalist representation of Muslims that is dominant today is that they are portrayed as people who can only behave in an uncritical and dogmatic way in relation to the Koran, whereas other believers, above all Christians, are reputed to be capable of producing a modern interpretation of their holy book.
This is in fact a mistaken representation, although it is very widespread. That is why I insist on the diversity of the Muslim world. In Poland the Church played at one time a significant role in the struggle against the Stalinist regime. In the West its role was greeted with enthusiasm. Why do we have this double standard?
Many people in the Muslim world consider an attack against Islam as unacceptable. Many of them, without being at all religious - I know some of them - say: “Yes I am a Muslim”. That is a result of the fact that the US has made it from a certain point of view unacceptable to be a Muslim. You are living in a country (the Netherlands) in which religion occupied a dominant position in an extreme way.
Protestant fundamentalism is one of the worst forms of fundamentalism. Protestant fundamentalism, of English or Dutch origin, was responsible for a genocide in North America; it wiped out the indigenous population in the name of progress - something that Muslims have not yet done.``

I see Bina`s incisive analysis has got the dravidian midgets as well as some dravidian economic migrant wannabes raving mad ... no surprise... these people cannot see beyond their respective crumbs of buttered bread thrown their way by their masters.
Bina, thanks a lot for having the courage to boldly state that women oppression is alien to Islam. Oppression of women is indeed a cultural/patriarchal phenomenon which exists in many cultures, Islamic or otherwise. Was Sati invented by Muslims? Killing of female fetuses in India, is it Muslim? Female infanticide in China, is it Muslim? Dowry deaths in India, are they Muslims? Offering wives as bedmates for male guests in Eskimo culture ... are they Muslims?
This is a war of civilisations. There`ll be many knocking Islam. All we can do is to fight ... and to blow up the opponents into smithereens.
Keep up the good work .. Bina ...

LOL.. Yeah, that sounds like a ``good defence`` for Islam/Muslims.. :-)

This article seems to have been written with the same bias that Hirsi Ali is accused of. The killing of Van Gogh however silly the film may be can hardly be excused away by pointing fingers at the writers.
Some more information on the Hirsi Ali story.

So lets not vilify Ayaan. She is just a cog, like the rest of us, who serves the wheel...
Being a cog is not enough excuse. Vilifying Islam is Wajib-ul-Qatl, just like her lover boy Van Gogh something ...

must read for all who understand the propaganda-

``We Must Declare War on Islamist Propaganda``
Dutch member of parliament Ayaan Hirsi Ali has been threatened with death for writing the film ``Submission`` -- which is heavily critical of Islam and for which filmmaker Theo van Gogh was murdered in November. She spoke with SPIEGEL about her life as a fugitive, how to fight radical Islam, and the need for legitimate intolerance

Hirsi Ali: Start by knocking on the door! We must penetrate into their worlds.
SPIEGEL: You`ll be seeing many doors slammed in your face.
Hirsi Ali: I`m not saying that it would be easy. For her book entitled ``Invisible Parents,`` the journalist Margalith Kleijwegt did some research in the Moroccan section of Amsterdam, where Van Gogh`s murderer, Bouyeri, lived. She knocked unsuccessfully on doors six times. The seventh door was opened, and then she learned a great deal about this community. For example, she learned that no parents in that neighborhood knew about the murder, that no parents even knew who Van Gogh was or had heard about the film. They only watch Arab television where they are fed with conspiracy theories about the West. They spend every vacation at home in Morocco. They can`t speak or write Dutch, and they don`t read newspapers. The lesson of Margalith Kleijwegt`s book is that the parents are not equipped to give their children the upbringing necessary in a modern western society. They also have many children and these parallel worlds are growing. We look on without even knowing what happens in them.
