Because the AHs want to distract from the issue that is being discussed by throwing in Islam,
it IS about Islam pal..saudi arabia is controlled by an ``elite``...when was the last time you ranted against the ummah homies ? Never..

masadi #49 aangaara is asking you a reasonable question - why do you live in the US if you hate it so much. that is a fair question, not an ad hominem attack.
This illustrates once again the reason you refused my offer to have a civilized debate - because it is you who hides behind ad hominem attacks. stripped of your big words and your personal attacks, you have nothing to say.

#54 aangaara writes <<< M. Asadi if you hate the US and its system so much then why do u live there? >>>
This is the 20th time an idiot has tried to rebut arguments using this very Ad Hominem question, follow through with my previous interacts and you`ll get my answer repeated 20 times to this very question, I see no reason to answer it for the 21st time. The question assumes that I hate the US, as if the elite define the US, and that I live here for some benefit that I get from this system and the work that I do criticising it is done for my own benefit. Both assumptions are incorrect. My living or not living here, and I haven`t lived here most of my life and don`t plan to live most of it here, does not take away from the validity (or lack thereof) of my arguments.
#53 behram << Why do you become so defensive? >>
Because the AHs want to distract from the issue that is being discussed by throwing in Islam, so as to deflect from the topic on hand and they don`t do that for relevance or discussion, they do it out of blind bigoted hate, which I will not tolerate~ whether they like it or not.

M. Asadi if you hate the US and its system so much then why do u live there? why did u wait in line and sweat like a pig to get a visa? do u not have any tawakal in Allah? go back to where you came from why are u wasting your energies in dar-u-harb, when dar-ul-islam is in short supply of intellectuals like you and echoboom.

Masadi, you wrote {The only time I have brought up the Quran and Islam in these interacts is when the AHs on here have attacked it unjustifiably.}
Why do you become so defensive? Once in a while claiming your knowledge about your religion is OK, but hyperventilating about your holy books is really not warranted.
And then you ask {What reference to Islam do you see in this article?}
Again, your twisted brain on doing a check/mate on my post is obvious. Whereas, I suggested that your posts usually takes turn towards your religious values which is generally not warranted. Nevertheless, just re-read all the examples in your article, which is about power elite and their negative influence on Arab muslim countries. Why could you not mention any other non-muslim countries?
One last item about your writing style. It is normally accepted that most liberals do not label people, and you do. Why? What is your insecurity?
Respectfully submitted,

#51, since I am seeking causation from a structural prespective, I have to look at the structure of power that transcends individual nation states. Take that structure of tyranny away and these client elite in the region you mention are bound to wither away. The US elite have resisted any attempt at a people`s government in that region and have supported and strengthened these tyrants, even as their people suffer. If I concentrate on these thugs and overlook the structure that produces them, it would be distractive.

re: masdi
I have one question.
Given your critique of ``economic elites``, I am interested in how you feel about the power of the Arab and Muslim economic elites. The Arab and Muslim economies are controlled like cartels by a few group of familes and these familes make the economic policy for their respective nations based on their family interests. These small groups deny the benfits of economic growth to the most of their own fellow citizens.
Not only this, but these Arab and Muslim economic elites are known to accomodate western economic elites in fixing the price of oil, for example, when such price fixing suits western interests.
The point being, do you think that the western economic elites could be so influential, without the active support of the Arab and Muslim economic elites, in dominating the world?
You have always blamed the western economic elites, but have hardly ever shed any light on the role of the Muslim and Arab economic elites?
Any reason, why you have omitted them from your analysis?
Ciao

Like I said, tahmed has nothing as usual to offer. None of the arguments in this article of mine are new, we have discussed them many times and each time he has put his tail between his legs and whimpered away after being stumped. Why are you worried about my ``terms of engagement`` forget about any engagement, just present your ``facts`` let the people decided. Ruin my arguments, go ahead- you wont because you have no clue and truth and fact are not on your side. All you have are your lips attaced to your old colonial master`s ass, as you lick the ground they walk upon in your slavish mentality. It is because of people like you that the poor all across the globe, of whatever color or creed suffer.

#47 If you had any confidence in the strength of your arguments, you would have had no problem accepting this offer to have a civilized dialogue - where I even gave you a chance to define the rules of the dialogue which obviously would have applied to me as much as to you.
However, you have instead come back with more of your usual lunatic rantings. Thus proving what I wrote earlier about why I could tear apart your arguments if you I thought you were any better than your stupid arguments. Instead, you are just another half-brained desi babu to have fun with on chowk. Cheers. :-)

You have nothing to offer tahmed that is why you come up with excuses like ``rules of engagement`` and other BS. Dismantle my arguments rather than seek Ad Hominem as you have been doing on this thread. Coming from someone like yourself who worships the colonial elite, supports the British colonization of India and Africa and is willing to overlook the worst atrocities committed in the Atlantic Slave Trade and the destruction of Native Americans by these elite, who will not even condemn the most heinous barbaric atrocities committed by the US military in its many wars, I don`t expect anything remotely resembling civility or intellectual integrity coming from you. Shove your slavish mentality and the Anglo Saxon ``ethos`` that you tout where the ``light don`t shine``.
Behram #46, can it, you know what you`re saying is completely disconnected from reality, we have discussed this many times before and you have shown no decency or respect for truth or fact. I put considerable effort in all of my articles and they are not for my benefit, considering how most of you slaves of the Western elite react to them, tells me that you are closer to the illiterate Mullahs that you pretend to rail against. It is like casting pearls before swine, I`d rather let you stay in the pig`s sty these elite have constructed for you both as fact and in the mind~ the slavish mentality that you all possess, rather than try to educate the bigots among you.

Dear masadi:
It is rather obvious that you are totally against corporation and forces of globalization. You have been unsuccessful in getting any support from most of the interactors on this Chowk because it appears that you are lacking authenticity in your intellectual ability. There appears to be disharmony between your intellect (reasoning power) and your soul (your belief structure).
You have constantly railed against corporate elite and by extension you write against individual capitalist. And then you bring the institutional structure of bureaucracy of governance (political structure) into the discussion, along with your interpretation of your religion. Many times, I have noticed that you take refuge in your religious values unnecessarily.
This creates a showing of your convoluted mind. Just remember, some people (including myself) really do not care about academia. Your academic world is where you can hypothesize your analytical mind. But, outside the boundaries of the academia is totally a different world, and you should realize that.
Coming back to a view of comparing corporation with individual capitalist. As an analogy, what did King Kong want? He just wanted to be with the love of his life, who was human. But, King Kong was killed because the human world was not able to handle this beast.
Likewise, corporation is like a beast in the capitalist society. The corporate elite that you rail against is actually the executive team only. And for a large part not the shareholders. You can play the nuances until hell freezes, but for the most part Joe Schmuck Americans are comfortable with opportunities of an individual enterprising capitalist.
Your academic background notwithstanding, you must develop a style of interacting on Chowk to gain acceptability. This would enhance your credibility and stature that you obviously are craving for.

masadi: and i dont just want a simple ``yes`` to my question below. I want you to also tell me, what the term ``discuss in a civilized and intelligent manner`` means to you so we may agree on certain ``Rules of Engagement``.

masadi: You ask why i dont tear your arguments apart? i had provided the reason, which you obviously ignored.
I am prepared to demonstrate how off-base your arguments are if you are prepared to discuss them in a civilized and intelligent manner. Do you think you can do that?

#42, take your meds and don`t struggle with the nice gentlement who have brought your straitjacket~ they will not let you escape from the loony asylum again.
And for the record, the difference between Maududi`s theology and how I understand the Quran is the differnence between night and day and America is not described by the tiny elite that rule over it~ I mention in the article that they are a victim of this war mentality of these elite as well, your intelligence level does not permit you to go beyond the official BS, and finally, I have given more to this land than it has given me in return, even in the class I teach, the fee they extract from ONE student pays for my semester`s salary while the rest of the 110 in the class are all surplus for them, and out of that they cut a hefty chunk as tax as well, even as they steal from the world selling them third rate military equipment at inflated prices.
So idiot, if you dont have a clue about how this world operates, I suggest you retreat to the hole you have lived in all your life.
