Chauhan Bhai,

I was in Cyprus at the time Benazir took action against Mohajirs in KHI. I received many of the boys that came there with broken arms and twisted faces. Unexposed to KHI life, I had many questions. The principle and formula of life is: If you find yourself in a predicament, look within for solutions. They blamed alot. After some time in Cyprus, away from the chaos - they realized one thing. If they were successful in their lives, they will get respect. And they did. Lets not blame - lets develop as humans. The generation Mohajir`s you are talking about are the creators of Pakistan. Before that they were the force that drove the brits away from India. They did not blame, they worked and they dedicated themselves to developing. The whole of Pakistan AND India respects them to this day. We need that feeling in every person in both countries. We have more tools, we see more and we know more. I wish prejudice is replaced by co-operation and tolerance. We need that so badly.

khurram, you do not learn to give strategy. Either you can or you cannot. It is an ability that is polished over time and experience. Good and bad. More than that, its how you PERCEIVED those experiences and what you learned from them. How that happens is defined by your beleif and inner nature. That is totally from God. As many other things in life, to the Muslim its from Allah, to the Christian from God, to the Hindu from Bhagwan and to the Atheist, an unexplained phenomena.. the Self. Yet undefined by Psycholgists and thinkers. To be or not to be, that is the question - says Shakespeare. Ghalib says, na tha kuch to khuda tha, kuch na hota to khuda hota. Yes I can give you success stories. But what use is that to you? Present your issue, and you will get a strategy. Test that.

Re: # 31

If my dad had not gone to work in ksa.. interesting. He did not go there to work. He left Pakistan in anger because he had decided to go to war in 1965 and volunteered, for which he was FIRED by his boss and ridiculed by relatives. So he left. And I would be much more if he had not done that dear kulhari. Being over emotional is not good and he regrets doing that now and in fact has moved back. I have decided something this week. I will return to Pakistan and continue my work. I have made my statement to KSA and the Gulf countries as far as treating us like dogs is concerned! My website is proof of that, and my actions an even bigger proof. Pakistanis, Indians, Banglas will no longer take S H I T E from anyone. We have proven to the world that we have many amongst us who go, see and CONQUER. We are just too damn nice to admit that!
Another thing Kulhari, it does not make any difference if you are punjabi or mohajir or sindhi or bengali or whatever - each human is unique and has abilities and something to give to this world. What mohajirs can do, punjabis may not be able to and Vice Versa. Could you beat the Pathan that works on a construction site in Ramadan, fasting at mid day and ends up building a Huge building without any safety equipment? You cannot - and the Pathan cannot beat the wonderful designs a mohajir will come up with. SHARE energy - do not compete - cooperate!

#46, Kulharee {``I will provide you with the FO stats tomorrow, and also a list of all Paki Generals. There is no disagreement that Karachi girls are fit and pretty. ``}

Kul Payee,
Forget the list of fat Paki generals who have never won even a bronze medal in a two-way war since the inception of Pakistan. Instead, let`s agree on better aspects of both Lahore and Karachi. We will trade you West Wharf for Hira Mandi and we will throw in Gora Qabrustan for JahaNgir`s tomb.

Salim Bhaijan, You make a couple of good points there, and I congratulate you on that. Dr. Israr Ahmad sahib is disgrace to humanity. My figures are not cooked, I will provide you with the FO stats tomorrow, and also a list of all Paki Generals. There is no disagreement that Karachi girls are fit and pretty.

#44 Kulharee Payee,
Your figures are somewhat cooked to support your incorrect assumptions that Mohajirs call the shots in Pakistan`s military and civilian totem pole. Also, nobody is imposing a foreign language on you guys, unless you consider speaking Ebonics in NYC as an infringement of your ethnic rights. Why would we want you to speak Urdu when many of us speak English anyway?

As for kicking beach balls, you might have a good point there. We have the beaches and the beach balls, why not kick them? One drawback is that our Bihari babes don`t look so sexy in the hijabi swimsuits prescribed by that MahaPunju Dr. Israr Ahmed. Could you lend us a few of the Lahori cows to compensate for the skinny legs? Thanks,

Re: # 43

Salim Bhjaijan, not to sidetrack the subject of this article, which is to help Pakistan develop, all I will say is that neither Zia nor Shareef were Punjoos, and contrary to popular beliefs, Punjabis are mainly the foot soldiers of the mostly Tribal and Mohajir upper commands in Pakistan, be it in civil or military service. If you looked at the Ambassadorial roster of our foreign office, while Punjabis make up over 50% of Pak population, are only represented at roughly 20-25% at the higher levels. It’s a fact. You know when you impose a foreign language and foreign culture on 60 million people; it is only natural that they wont excel at many things.

But please don’t make me laugh about training Mohajir soccer players. Haha, with those skinny legs, the only thing they might be able to kick is may be a beach ball?

#42, Kulharee {``The Punjabis that I know that live in Karachi are menial and day laborers and not rocket scientists like our Bihari brothers who have brought 20 Noble prizes to Pakistan, and 4 Fifa world cups in the past 3 years alone. .. No wonder Mushy takes passports away if someone gets raped in Pakistan. And you know who Mushy is, and where he came from. Need I say more? ``}

Kuly Payee,
No, you need not say more. Mushy is a dilliwalla and, therefore, yes a Mohajir. Now, at least he just takes passports away and doesn`t murder the rape victim, murder her relatives, and burn the bodies to destroy the evidence. So let`s give him some credit - as a military dictator he is far less vicious than the soldiers of democracy in Eye Rack. As bad as Mushy is (and he is pretty bad because he is, after all, a Paki soldier and trained as a Paki Punju right down to his atrocious accent in Urdu), he is far far better than Zia, Nawaz, and the long list of Paki Punjus who have misruled and looted Pakistan for decades. As for Biharis becoming Nobel Prize winners, all I can say is that thanks to Dr. A. Q. Khan, a Mohajir originally from Bhopal, Pakistan is today a nuclear power. If Mohajirs weren`t dogging Paki Punju bullets they might attempt to learn soccer and bring home some trophies to make you happy. Thanks,

Re: # 39

But Salim Bhaijan, if you must give credit for development of urban areas to a handful of ethnic groups, you must also place some blame to them when things go wrong in that place. The Punjabis that I know that live in Karachi are menial and day laborers and not rocket scientists like our Bihari brothers who have brought 20 Noble prizes to Pakistan, and 4 Fifa world cups in the past 3 years alone.

You know, it is very hard for a fouji (#38) to get the idea of criticism. No wonder Mushy takes passports away if someone gets raped in Pakistan. And you know who Mushy is, and where he came from. Need I say more?

ShoreSahib,
Please don`t address me as a dessert. Next time learn to spell Chauhan correctly before assuming that is getting a bad rep. For your information, I do not understand Outer Mongolian so please translate if you have the guts to do so. Cheers.

Kulharee #36,
I am sorry that you took offense at my remarks concerning Paki Punju criticism of Mr. Shah`s valiant efforts in Karachi. I would love to help develop Patna if I ever get the opportunity. Actually, my plane made a stop in Patna and I was rather impressed by the greenery surrounding the airport. I wish Karachi Airport - sorry Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah International Airport, could be that green. Maybe that`s Mr. Shah`s next experiment.

The reason that I injected race and ethnicity into the discussion is that the story of Karachi is nothing but that. A talented, hard-working, enterprising people who arrived from India went to work and turned a small city into a metropolis. If all port cities develop that easily then may I ask what happened to Surat (the main seaport of India for such a long time)? Unlike Karachi, Calcutta and Bombay were major cities already in 1947. Once again, you want to deny the hard efforts of Mohajirs in building Karachi, so you prefer to credit it to the fact that it is a port city and thus naturally it would grow, even if populated by PainDoos from Punjaib.

The tragedy of the ethnic element in the story of Karachi is how Paki Punjus used their awesome military might in destroying Karachi, murdering its inhabitants, and causing much of the capital and industry to move to Lahore. Let`s see if this insidious ruse pays off. Meanwhile, if you think the development of Karachi was all that easy, why don`t you try creating a river port on any of the several rivers that pass through your land-locked province? Perhaps another Memphis or Budapest or Vienna or Frankfurt can develop so naturally.

I fail to understand why this hoop la hoo by these morons who are throwing all kinds of comments.

Re: # 36

Salim, your bringing in race, ethnicity and religion in this discussion is despicable. What have Punjabis to do with the success or failure of Shah Sahib? Karachi was developed more because port cities always have that advantage over non-port cities. That’s why Bombay is sprawling metropolis and Patna is not. Patna is not dilapidated because of Biharis (however, no one can be sure about that) but in Bombay all of India comes together, just like it comes together in Karachi (and I mean India). So if you have issues with native Pakistanis, no one will stop you from going back to Patna and help develop it just as your people developed Karachi. And I wish you success on behalf of all Punjabis.
