Iran-Afghanistan-Tractors
A Iranian economic delegation arrived here Sunday in Kabul to conduct market survey for large-scale sales of Iranian manufactured tractors.
Representative from Iran`s Tractor Manufacturing Company Darband Azar told reporters that the Iranian economic delegation is to meet officials from Afghan ministries of commerce, agriculture and finance to pave the way for export of Iranian made tractors to Afghanistan.
In the first phase of such contract, some 2,000 tractors are to be exported to Afghanistan on an installment basis, he said.
Most Afghan farmers use traditional equipment and tools which do not meet the demand of ever increasing population in the country.

If this is a joke then it is not funny and if it is a real life account then it is a joke.
No one makes 1 million rupees in Pakistan in three months unless you sell powder or your kidney to a middle aged american.

are you serious? you call this positive? Instead, I think this article is like the ``kick me`` note that kids attach to each others butt in school.

A very amatuerish article. People want to leave any 3rd world country because of fewer opportunities and they want a better life for their family.

Any dream without a 15 minute encounter with Aishwarya Roy is a waste of a dream. OK, 2 minute encounter.
But looking beyond this writeup, what pisses me personally off is that all the so called expats who return to Pakistan seem to have all the answers for the issues facing Pakistan. Do they really think that Pakistanis are that dumb that they need someone returned from Sharjah or Riyadh to help them with their challenges?

ali bhiya..... do light a few agar batis on the grave of your grandfather and his leader.... afterall your success would have been meaningless without their sacrifice. :)

There was a mixup of writer profiles which has now been fixed. The writer, Ali Shah, who is/was at UET is a different from the writer of this article - M. Ali Shah, a businessman based in Pakistan.

Investing in Saudia Arabia and a $4000 fee for a few consulting appointments to learn about business opportunities in Pakistan.....

Ali saheb,
You believed that ur native country would give you enough opportunities so you stayed back and made a success of it. Good for you. I respect your choice. I hope you will extend the same courtesy to anyone thinks otherwise, emigrates and makes a honest work of it.
Regards

[I decided that for the first 3 months, I will just observe society. I will listen more and talk less. I will sit everywhere and know everyone. ]
This is sweet. It is like a child telling himself, ``ab main yeh karoon ga, phir main woh karoon ga...``
On a serious note, it`s nice to see optimism.
Note: By the way, you may like to browse through the recent issues of the Economist. The commentary on Pakistan is quite interesting.

Shah ji
You have written a wonderful inspiring article. Kudos to you for making a success of your venture so fast. After reading it, I thought that you may like to share your BUSINESS MODEL with others on this site.
I mean it is so rare to find a line of business where you make one million rupees in six months without investing even a single penny of your own unless YOU ARE RUNNING AN NGO AND HAVE TOLD ALL YOUR ASSOCIATES ABROAD AND THEY HAVE CONTRIBUTED money in this venture.
If this is the case that please tell us if THEY HAVE DONATED THE MONEY OR MADE INVESTMENT IN YOUR BUSINESS?
If they have donated then you are not supposed to use most of it on yourself (as it seems you are doing) and if IT IS INVESTMENT then please tell us what return you have given them on their funding? I hope you have caluculated your own million after deducting their share on their investment.
And if you are running a business venture and not NGO then please tell us what do you charge from those who take your services. I mean it must be a real huge amount that you transform convicts, street tramps, vagabounds and drug addicts in just a couple of months and they are so readily absorbed in the job market. And how these people manage to pay your huge consultancy fee? It is truly amazing.
Come to think about it. I have never ever seen this kind of successful story. There are still many questions but at the moment I am keen to learn your business model. I hope you will condescend to share that.
Thanks and Regards
P.S. I hope you were not writing Satire.
