#65 ha! ha! I knew all I needed to do to check the situation on this board was scroll down post upon post from indians posing with russian names and so forth. indians posing with american slang. and so forth - until I came to a post by hamidm2.
And hamidm #65 summarizes what is going on on this board!! ha! ha!
Two exceptions:
1. subhashjoshi #74: Good post. You are quite right. Because I am very comfortable being a muslim per my understanding of Islam - I wholeheartedly support what you say about the Indian government bending to mullah demands on the question of family laws, since those laws are geared to oppress women under the guise of ``islam``. These animals oppressed women in Pakistan as well, under the guise of ``Islamic`` laws called hadood laws. Religion is a personal matter, and when someone tries to introduce it in politics - it is proof that he is a fake and is merely abusing religion to further his own oppressive views concerning the place of women in society.
2. zarrar #75 One of the biggest trouble makers in the world today is Pakistan. Lets get this straight. ``Jis ki laathi, oos ki bhains`` is the motto. the military overruns its own country, the mullahs attack mosques and other mullahs. Lets worry about this madness in Pakistan first - and stop pointing fingers at the US which most Pakistanis would would give anything to move to if they could.

Dear Sir,
Clearly you are frustrated. Blaming people will not be the cure to the problem. People have tried time and time again to act out of violence, your example: Israel and N. Korea. I would add another one and say USA. Maybe acting out of hatred and violence will make you feel proud that you are not a ``eunuch`` and feel extremely manly. It is very easy to do so and I don`t really blame your short-sightedness. The true answer to your frustration lies in the kind-hearted acts of your founding father (i would argue he`s Pakistan`s too but some of my fellow Pakistanis will argue otherwise out of sheer defense) MK Gandhi. What would Gandhi do in a situation like this. You might blame the acts of a few mentally challenged retards on a Nation or even worse... a religion, but in the end going to the root cause of the problem will lead you to the solution. Please don`t let an act like this drift our relationship further, instead it should only bring us together. Instead of the blame game played by our two countries, we should look for solutions together. Trains and busses in Pakistan were also being checked for bombs the very next day my dear neighbor. For ``them`` there is no religion, no race, just violence that they define through their own sick mindedness.

Do you think they can bomb the terrorists within Pakistan? Well let them first bomb the terrorists within India. When entire political system has been infested by opportunism & populism of the worst kind, who has the guts to take on the enemy within? And the life of 200 odd people - does it matter to anybody? Didn`t we capitulate in Shahbano case? Aren`t we the first to give in to any stupid demands of banning books and movies, be it The satanic verses or filming of ``water``? Have we so far punished the perpetrators of 1984 riots? And numerous others? What have we done so far in Union Carbide case? Life is cheap. Life is very cheap. So is bandwidth, it seems. Isliye bhai logo, lagey raho. Enjoy your cyber-wars.

Contrary to the usual image of a jehadi i.e. a bearded mullah ready to jump in fire, the Modern Jehadi is well educated, well trained for his job, good-looking, tall, dark and handsome.
The life of a Jehadi starts from madrasas in Pakistan. There are hundreds of madarsas in Pakistan and 95% of them are pure and simple madarsa where religous and other education is imparted. Its only 5% madarsas where strick jehadi doctrine is taught. The die-hards are spotted from the normal madarsas and then shifted to Jehadi madarsas. The families of these die-hards is paid adequate compensation.
In the Jehadi madarsas, the students are not only imparted Jehadi education, they are taught other skills like computer operation, communication technology and other skills so that they can do some jobs(acting as sleepers) in foreign lands to earn a living and not get caught. After 5-6 years of teachings in JMs, they are shifted to Training Camps where modern military training and warfare techniques are taught to them.
After this ``professional education`` running into 7-8 years, the person who comes out is a Super-brat, religous diehard, modern educated and militarily trained. No doubt, he is no match to untrained, unqualified lathi-wielding Indian constable.
Now if India has to take care of these super-brats, then there only way is to raise an army of counter-Jehadis. These CJs should be well trained in subversive activities, bomb and suicide attacks, militarily trained et al. Their only job is to look-for and monitor the Jehadis ,track their movements and eliminate them at the first oppurtunity.
No doubt it will take a long time before we can raise an army of effective CJs but even if we start now, it not too late.
Jai Hind.

it insane that my fellow hindus are targetting hamid ...

Completely agree. As I said many posts ago - his heart is in the right place. He naturally likes the culture he grew up in, and likes the ambience of the society and his culture - just like most of us - but the fact that he can see Islam for what it is sets him apart as more of a human being than most people I know - it is hard to look at your own religion objectively.

As for the article - yes it is correct that we are just not made of the same mettle as other
nations ... the virus of secularism has gone deep into our psyche. I hope chhotte sardar
stands for prime-ministership ... that is the only way to save this civilisation of ours .....
the only silver lining that i see is the desire to actually ``do`` something then typing away at
the keyboard. it is nice to see hindu/sikh/christian indians that really want to do something
about this ... would request them to add their mail ids in their profile ... one or the other
of us might want to contact a fellow indian ...
Kshama shobhati uss bhujang ko, jiske paas garal ho.
Usko kya, jo dant-heen, vish-heen, vineet saral ho.

And further, Benares, Delhi, Jama Masjid and now Mumbai. The enemy has perhaps found a novel method of executing its operation for which Indian security apparatus has no reply(by the way, do you have any??).
What these people seem to be doing is that they are planning their operation in one city and executing it in another city at a short notice. So where the operation is planned, no event takes place so the police there has no clue.
The city where event takes place, the operation has not been planned there i.e. the city has been completely by-passed, so the police there also has no clues.
Now what to do???

An emotionladen article. Though its good to release such emotions instead of living with them.
Indian Muslims may be a part of the problem but they are not a problem in themselves. If IMs donot co-operate with these elements then dont think these elemnts will pack their bags and go away. They will take the help of underworld, criminal and other social elements. The only thing is that by brain-washing a few IMs, they can make some monetary savings. If that channel is closed, they will use money to buy their facilitators.
The problem lies somewhere else.
According to intelligence reports, there are about 5000 India-specific trained Jehadis in Pakistan. They are living in Pakistan, they watch and monitor India from there, often and on they enter India through Nepal and Bangla Desh, they stay for months together in Indian cities making contacts, studying the security apparatus, identifying targets, studying the targets, making themselves familiarised with the surroundings etc. etc. and then return back. On the basis of their feedback, their masterminds give shape to an operation which is executed slowly. A huge amount running into millions of dollars is spent on these Jehadis.
And what does India do to tackle these Jehadis. Practically Nothing. Many times there are intelligence reports that some of these Jehadis have entered India but such informations either remain buried in Files in Delhi or in State Capital. There is abosulutely no coordination between Police of different cities in a state what to talk about police of different states.
My point here is instead of beating around the bush, what is required is that the government should declare War on Terrorism as national priority and deal with it accordingly.
Mind it, if we start figting ourselves, Hindu-Muslim or whatever, then the security apparatus which is highly lacking will be further overloaded in maintaining peace within the country. And the jehadis will have the last laugh.
We must understand that we are INDEED VERY WEAK in figting this war. We have to leave everything else and prepare for this war professionally, only then there is a chance of survival. We can do it provided wasting our time and energies here and there, we try to understand our enemy, his motives, his modus operandi, his movements etc.

Hamidbhai,
Dont forget the humilition you faced in two wars at the hands of Indian Army and more recently in KARGIL. Your so called warriors had occupied top posts on kargil heights and Indian Army was at a disadvantage. Still you were squished in matter of days. The casualties on your side was 2700 [As quoted by Nawaz Sherif]. But yes, you are right. Pakistan is safe as long as we have these spineless politicians at helm of affairs.

Modi for Prime Minister. And bring back an enhanced version of POTA.
Anybody opens their damn mouth, kick their a$$es all the way to Pakiland.
Now THAT would be something.

The warm embrace of a suicide bomber.... a whisper of revenge in to the ear of Mullah... and BOOM! hundreds of good-for-thing jehadis on their way to meet their maker.
the revenge of a relative is a sweet thing. A couple of synchronized suicide bombings like that would be even more sweet. Sort of like two can play the game.

I agree... and then Indians can come to Chowk and do what Pakis do....here........talk about humanity, human rights, express condolences, etc . That would be fantastic.
Nuclear black mail can not /will not go on forever like this.......counter-strategies WILL evolve.
Also there are other possibilities......
......cutting off /reducing the beggar money a.k.a. AID that Pakis feed from their white and Japanese masters.......
..........building more dams and further depriving Chenab water...and flooding when there is an attack like this......
.....escalation of finacial and tactical support to intensify Baloch freedom struggle......
............bombs in Lahore and Karachi..............

Terror, counter terror
Attack the Pakistani terrorist leadership in their redoubts.
................
Is Pakistan to be allowed to get away? No. But without pain, there is no gain. Understanding that countering Pakistani state terrorism is at least a ten year project, if not more, we should devise a counter strategy that will last that long, without crumbling to domestic and international pressure, and that is not an eye for an eye, but something nastier.
P.V.Narasimha Rao, probably our toughest PM after Indira Gandhi, coldly ruthless when he wanted to be, ordered it. A terrorist organisation implicated in an attack was punished, its leadership terrorized. But it wasn’t sustained by his softer successors. A state cannot terrorize innocent people, non-combatants, but giving terrorists a dose of their medicine is legitimate.
The agencies have the long arm for it, they need funds, motivation and lead-time, but the political establishment is pusillanimous. Give the agencies a free hand, and see the turnaround.
