Not exact? It`s an idiotic analogy...The lebs aren`t exactly being held hostage by the hezbollah..hezbollah won seats in the elections and has seats on the cabinet..

From what i recall of your posts, that is indeed the way you think. HP......if you read my next sentence, it states either won or stalemate. all the groups i have mentioned were never defeated and still haven`t been defeated. they either won or in a stalemate. so i think my statement stands correct. actually clinton`s statement. i will see if i can find a reference.

there was no mention of outside help, one way or the other. all guirella groups have outside help. where else do they get their weapons from? they obviously don`t manufacture them on their own. hamas and hezbollah also have outside help. where do you think they get their finances and weaponry from?

i think one can accept this as a rule of war. military force is generally unable to crush guirella groups. either a whole population has to be ethnically cleansed to get rid of them. or the issues have to be solved through political negotiations.

The victims are civilians. That`s my concern. I dont look at the victims as Muslims/arabs. By the bye Lebanon is not a pure Islamic country.

I am surprised that you are not arguing the the bombing was done by Arabs! That`s how you argue, normally; seeking evidence to an opposite view to the well known facts.

I felt very encouraged when I saw Labour party activits in my town ran (22/7) a small setup distibuting pamphlets and taking signatures for a petition aganist the Israel`s war on Gaza and Lebanon. They are not doing it bcoz it`s war on Muslims, bcoz it`s onesided and the victims are civilians. By the bye, none of them is a muslim. I sometimes wonder why these innocents were bombed on 7/7/2005 by - you dont agree - Pak immigrants and a black muslim.

zeemax: we are all friends here. and what makes you think you are better than aangaaara? Whatever I have seen of his posts have certainly been very well written. More than can be said of the armchair jehadis who are popping like corn on a hot tawa all over chowk.

There are only two criteria:

1) who is the underdog & has picked up arms to re-claim versus who is the oppressor & is occupier.

2) Who is in whose house. The U.S does have a legitimate point to express outrage if an act is carried out in its own territory [now that itself has clouds of doubts upon it, but if true then their retaliation is justified & believing so they did--even to the point of going overboard; but then those who did that should not expect moral support or sympathy].

3) It is not the question of ``winning`` or ``losing`` but simple to register which side one is on--especially for us ``arm-chair-jehadis`` as so eloquently articulated by the ``harm-chair-fasadis`` here.

Time will move on and another 100 years will pass . New fronts will open...and we will always revert to Qu`raan to seek solace & guidance,

The rest is just a ``Luddo`` of the latter-day-Luddites*

Yes that`s exactly what I`m suggesting. This is OUR war because we`re Muslims. I could give all the answers to your related questions in this post but all these have been oft repeated on these boards, which you have been rejecting outright through jest, and never even given any of these any serious thought.

The callousness, of supporting massacre of innocent civilians plus taking away any means of existence for those whom survived and ran away, and on top of that making fun and jest of their situation by joking around .... Hamidm I don`t really know how to describe your attitude. You must apologise to all of us who are grieving for the Lebanese ... whomever they might be ... Muslims or Christians or Druze ....
