I think your attempt to discuss this issue with Indians is ridiculous. Historically, The Indians and specially the current Indians were/are a bit player in International affairs or were/are mere fellow travelers, so they don’t understand the historic context of the issues involved.

They can only regurgitate what they read in the newspapers and are not capable of a serious discussion on subject.

good question, but the answer is obvious ...... the hezbollah does not consist of easily identifiable combatants - it is the entire shia muslim population that lives in southern lebanon ..... the only way israel can clean out that rat`s nest is to occupy the south indefinitely (and maybe even the whole country) .......... but it might be a very very long occupation because this war will end only when islam has been completely vanquished ............

My simple question was that if Israel couldn`t tackle Hizballah in 18 tears of occupation of the whole country of Lebanon, what reason do you have to believe Israel can do it now?

According to some Sunnis, including one on Chowk, killing of Shias is justifiable. Also, AlKayda in Afghanistan had issued a fatwa authorizing killing of Shias and issuing free passes to paradise for the act. Suicidal Sunnis in Karachi, Quetta, Afghanistan, Baghdad, and elsewhere are lining up to blow themselves up to kill as many Shias as possible. There might even be a shortage of houris in paradise to this outpouring of Sunni piety.

Also, Tally Ban in Afaghanistan had issued another fatwa justifying the rape of Shia women with paradise as a reward for this pious fornication. Does the act of masturbating against her will qualify a Shia woman to go to paradise? Will a Shia committing suicide qualify for paradise because he has killed a Shia?

The hatred for Shias is so intense that the right-wing whacko fundo Wahabbi Sunni kingdom of Soodi Arabia has blamed the Hizbollah in favor of Israel and the Emir of Kuwait basically supported Israel.

Israel in Lebanon has killed far far fewer Shias than the Saudis, the Pakis, the Tally Ban, AlKayda, and the Iraqi Sunnis.
