Kamath.. he said that. Even if he didn’t (as you claim), he still did it. So there. You would probably refuse to believe that he actually did it. But that’s OK, because what we need to discuss here is since it is done, how unarguably dumb it is. In line with the other dumb things common in the Islamic world. Spend some time thinking about it.
Masadi and Zeemax… Once the Prophet was seated at some place in Madinah, along with his Companions. During this time a funeral procession passed by. On seeing this, the Prophet stood up. One of his Companion remarked that the funeral was that of a Jew. The Prophet replied, “Was he not a human being?”
I don’t care if you guys’ grandpas have big rocking chairs, as opposed to mine who was a simple ironsmith, but could you keep it less personal and try to discuss the merits of the lawlessness of the Ummah? And also, how do you explain the Sunni-Shia rift, and mourning of a couple of dozen camel herders some 1460 year ago to this day? They mourn the death of a couple of dozen unemployed schmuks every year and beat themselves up until they bleed, they (Shias) should be the last ones on the earth to make fun of 6 million murdered Jews? Can your little brains get it? I think not. And shove your “looking at the bigger picture” some place else. The bigger picture is way too obvious, which only the blind like you are unable to see it. If you want to see it, the exhibit is still on for a few more weeks, go and check it out.

The author states, ``The other side of this is that the President Ahmadinejad was so upset over the Danish cartoon depiction of the Prophet Mohammad that he organized this exhibit to settle the score. ``, and yet, incredibly, claims that he cannot begin to get into the head of the Ahmadinejad.
Getting into the author`s head will take some doing!
ballukhan: Ahmedinejad an ignorant fool? Think Again.

The problem for the Palestinians is that they have more dangerous friends than enemies. With friends like Syria and Iran, who needs enemies?

Almost all wars start with words; leaders of all nations and races shoot off their mouths and inflame passions - that`s easy to do because none of them have to put themselves in the line of fire. The best thing to do would be not to give them even an inch space of attention.

Very well said AMuralidhar, while we have knuckleheads jumping off the seats of their pants; only 50 people in Tehran attended the Exhibit (my hates off to Iranians). You can imagine how must painful it must be for those “deeply” absorbed in their own little hatful and anti-Semitic existence. The article was only to discuss the double standards prevalent in the Muslim world. How can you get so riled up and complain about the intolerance of the West towards Islam (such as the protests in the aftermath of the Mohammad cartoon episode), while you go around and expose yourself with the worst bigotry (such as this exhibit) how can you fight for Palestinians rights for self-determination while you go and kill your own people for asking the same rights. Do you see the hypocrisy that some here refuse to see? I bet you do.
ADL was more vocal to condemn the publication of the cartoons depicting Prophet Mohammad as a Terrorist than any other entity. Let’s hope that some Muslim organization speaks up against this exhibit, or at least burns a couple of Khomeini Fried Chicken joints in Lahore.

Janaab Mohtaram Hazrat Mirza Syed Qutubuddin Bukbuk Khan Sahib Huzoor:
Or, simply
Kul Payee:
While President Ahmadinejad`s Holocaust Cartoon Festival is probably ill-advised, I am beginning to admire the guts, courage, fresh simplicity, and no-nonsense style of this Persian. His recent offer to debate Dubya in an uncensored and televised discussion of the world`s problems and resolutions is an interesting challenge. Of course, Dubya will decline - he is too busy living in Louisiana to impress the colored people about his compassion. :)
President Ahmadinejad`s ridiculing of the fact that the two most warlike nations headed by Dubya and Blair are also two of the five vetoes n the U.N. Security Council. Now, if that body is charged with stopping, resolving, and preventing conflicts AND the two most frequent warrior nations have vetoes, how can such a system function effectively and fairly?
No matter what you think of his style, the man is definitely scoring points with those who never believed in the Emperor`s clothes.

Salim Bhaijan, They all exhibit the same cry baby syndrome before they are about to fall. Remember the guy who was found in a rat hole? Remember his information minister claiming to have liberated the greater state of Mesopotamia? I think you are not for real. Here this guy who wont allow his people to watch a bloody satellite channel beamed from across the Shyt-ul-Arab, and you think that he is courageous? Please be real. And who is going to see his debate with Bush? The Bulgarians? Did you know that Iranian women don`t know what a soccer ball looks like?

Kul Payee,
All things are relative - and you are being relatively biased here. Did you know that Dubya is eavesdropping on your telephone calls? Don`t you think that debate is better than carpet bombing your opponents into homelessness, disease, and paradise? Are you really comparing this elected leader to Sadman Houston? How many countries has Iran attacked since 1739 when Nadir Shah sacked Delhi - and he wasn`t even Eye Ranian. Did you know that most western men (and eastern and southern and northern) don`t know what a Soodi woman looks like? At least Eye Ranian women can drive, go to school, find employment, and are represented in the Majlis, government, and other institutions. Maybe, they will find the courage to discard the useless chador and other trivial garments.

Salim Bhaijan, Again, what goes on in that country with regards to women rights, and other political maneuvering, etc., is totally irrelevant to the scope of this discussion. If you wana discuss other stuff such as phone tapping by Bushie, or Greco Persian wars, you can write an article and we will debate how Xerxes led a massive campaign to teach Spartans a lesson in Farsi, but let’s stick to the Holocaust exhibit here. No matter what the reasons, or point of reference, it is dum. If they have such a deep desire to mock the death of the dead ones, ask them to mock the death of the 2 dozen camel herders that died over 1400 years ago and leave the 6 million dead Jews alone. Ask them to show some sobriety and some basic decency. It is not too much to ask. They can still issue death fatwas on living writers for writing fictional stuff, but they have no right to mock the death of the dead ones.

#26,
Before I went to the U.S. for my studies in the early `80s, I was fed with the propaganda in India about bad U.S. planting a CIA spy under every bed to explain everything rotten that was happening in India. In the U.S., you realize that it is all BS that 3rd world politicians feed their citizens to hang on to power. The culmination of this process was the `89 earthquake in the Bay Area where only about a 100 people died in such a catastrophe in a densely populated area with it`s skyscrapers and packed living; similar size earthquakes regularly kill tens to hundreds of thousands of people in Iran, Pakistan and India, a lot of the damage being in sparsely populated areas. The difference is the superior planning and execution ability that the West practises (the Katrina disaster being the exception to the rule; the horror being shown was about the how the ball had been dropped so badly).
If there is an earthquake in Iran tomorrow, you can bet tens of thousands of people will die. The mullahs and politicians will shed crocodile tears for a few days and will then carry on with their regular business. So the day Ahmedijimbob announces that Iran has achieved technology that reduces the deaths to the hundreds or thousands is the day that he should be given respect that you talk about.
