Salman, you may recall that a similar incident took place with me last year, but sadly I was behind the wheel! I can never get over the scene of that biker`s head hitting my windscreen! I will never be able to thank God enough that he was wearing a helmet so he only got injured on the ankle.

I recall getting down numb, my eyes never leaving him as he stumbled over to the footpath. He was in pain, which aggravated when he realised the repercussions of breaking a signal, and it`s impact on him, his bike, my car.....

It`s a cruel, selfish world out there. Moreover, it`s strange because on the one hand, there are people who are NOT willing to take any risk, i.e. those who sped by, and then there are the risk-takers; those rash motorcyclists!

Good work Salman. I`ll be very honest with you;, I would not have been able to do even half of what you managed. I would just have freaked out first, and that trait is found in many in which we mingle. We can forgive them for it. There will always be such people and among them, there will always be a Godsend.... this time it was you. God bless you.

Safe driving also means..SLOW DRIVING.

Slow driving is both a luxury and safe. But young blood often go anti to this idea.
Its the fast drivers who get injured and play permanent havoc with their bodies if they survive or with their lives, if they don`t.

Perhaps, its the fast driving which causes throats being cut slit open by the DOARS of the Kites in Lahore.

Whatever it maybe, 2 wheeled vehicles have rendered to be dangerous. Its because 2 wheelers have no policy and rules in play as no minister would seem himself fit to ride one.
When a Minister would decide, one day, the regulations would be in place, in motion.

Get one Minister`s near and dear to be injured or more severely to get this throat cut by some wild DOAR..and the public would be safe..yet again.

What you`ve written about could`ve been in India. When cops insist on mobike/scooter drivers wearing helmets, people ridicule them. When someone sees a Road Traffic Accident Patient in a hospi ICU, their reaction is, not that it could`ve been prevented, but that joh naseeb mein likha hain, wohi hota hai. This attitude is clear even in Goa, where the sea in the monsoons is rough and kills several tourists each year. Warnings, pleadings don`t help. They go into the water, never to return. Others, instead of heeding the danger there, simply say, joh naseeb......and go in and join them. Sigh.
