Exactly. But you missed it was also said that these were the masterminds. So were the attacks on Musharraf who were air-force personnel, and the attack on Shaukat Aziz who was a tailor from Attock. None had any Arab or even Afghan links. So why/how do you say ``cannon fodder for Al Qaeda``? On what evidence?

Like I said in a previous post, this is where the twain meets. That`s Islam.

That`s true Kaal. Did you read #323? Biggest mistake people make is in believing in static nature of things. Nothing is static, and no empire lasts forever. It looks like the world will soon see an elephant lazily turning over on its side and in the process upsetting the entire apple cart. Above anyone else, India must see that. It is a great civilization and must make it`s place in whatever new order emerges.

BTW .. VRV .. that attack on Manto`s family was far below the belt. Now don`t come back with my episode with Hamidm because that`s between me and him. If he apologises for cheering bombing of Lebanese civilians, I`ll apologise ten times in return to him.

Wrong again. There`s one thing that India can do ... and that is to give Kashmiris the freedom of choice and to stop killing them. That`s the least they can do. Otherwise the initiative which rests in India`s court now will be snatched away.

Read #347 :-) This is what India needs to understand and cooperate with Pak. Noone can withstand the rising tide of Islamisation of the region ... and Pak is destined to play a vital role in keeping sanity all around.

I would think that the return of taliban would be considered a red flag, a huge setback for people of pakiland and their future... I would expect pakis out on the street protesting it... The elites, liberals and people who claim to work for moderation, secularism, democracy would be screaming blue murder...

But instead what we hear is cheers and celebration ..... in fact, this extremely regressive situation is being celebrated as ``self-correction``... return of taliban is a ``correction``.... Hamid Karzai`s predicament is actually a ``correction`` of past mistake of ousting the taliban...
