However, my bet is that these children will be fighting over more pressing issues, such as distribution of river waters which is soon becoming a life and death issue for many.

......... but don`t worry, as far as i am concerned, kashmir is way down on the list of things that pakistan needs to tackle - restoring democracy, getting rid of poverty, deporting wahabis and jihadis to deoband (india) and saudi arabia, cleaning up the streets, getting people off the railroad tracks ( oh yes, we too have the same problem), introducing deodrant, opening up the liquor shops and getting women to shave their legs ............ kashmir is way down on the list but that doesn`t mean we should roll over and let the horrible hindoos have their way ..............

You are correct to sound the caution bell. Hopefully, us Indians have learnt our lessons from the history of the past thousand years and we will not become complacent as was our wont in the past. Muslims anywhere in the world are formidable enemies - something about their culture and religion that makes them fanatically, often irrationally, focused on winning territory for which they are willing to typically `qurban` a lot more than other groups would be; and that`s why Indians or whoever is battling Muslims should never put their guard down, never be complacent and be ready for a really long drawn war.
