NT syed,
(Like I advised bjkumar, Stay Tuned...the show is about to begin )
Will remain tuned. Reminds me of an old joke.
Indira Gandhi and Zia went to God for knowing when their countries will achieve salvation. God told IG ``Not in ur lifetime``, He told Zia ``Not in my lifetime``.

``Sir what is this fascination with ``Muslim Rule``? Are there ANY places in th world which are ``Muslim Rule``? How many of them are happy?``
It`s not a fascination, Bhai. It`s the only hope for tomorrow, for the entire world. Why else do you think non-Muslims are reverting to Islam in unprecedentedlylarge numbers? The reason is right there in your statement: no people are happy today, because there is no country with Muslim Rule. Just like having a Muslim as the President of India doesn`t mean Muslims rule India, having Muslim rulers in predominantly Muslim countries does not mean Islam is the law there. Insha Allah, that will be changed for good very soon.
Stay tuned ;-)~~

Re: # 485 ranjit
Indeed, that seems to be case. However, I do disagree with your presumptions that Hindus would have been chaprasis under the Muslim rule. That could only be true in this current system of governance gifted to the Indians by the fleeing Brits. If the Muslim clergy had prevailed, certainly neither this would not have been the system nor the continuation of subjugation by anyone.
Notwithstanding the credits to Hindu civilization prior to Turk conquest of the region, the sub-continent saw its zenith under the Muslim rule when it was 25% of global economy. It could not have been possible by oppressing the majority. Why do you think the Portugese and the Brits worked so long and hard to overpower the region? Some may disagree, but during the Muslim rule, Hindus had their religious autonomy throughout the subcontinent, and governing autonomy in their states.
In 1947, it was reduced to 1% when the Brits were through plundering it. Without a doubt the 1% was achieved with unprecedented oppressive rule that the land had ever seen. It was during the British Raj that the indigenous - Hindus and Muslims alike - were reduced to chaprasis and foot soldiers. Unfortunately, with the inadequate system of governance - leftover by the Brit, today by and large Indian Muslims are the worst off lot, according to the Indian reports - not Pakistani or Western propaganda.
So your assumption that Muslims would have continued the British way of things can only be classified as paranoia. Perhaps it stems from the guilty conscience of periodic unwarranted ethnic cleansing and continuous systematic economic oppression.
But fear not, like I said your better days have yet to come, and Insha-Allah it will be delivered to you when the Khilafah brightens the globe again .... very soon!

NT Syed sahib,
(if Jinnah hadn`t come along; and probably by now you`d be under Muslim rule again....perhaps for another millennia. But fret not, dear boy, you just may live to see that day again. )
Amen to that. But how about beginning with imposing Muslim rule in Muslim populated parts of the world, Iraq, Palestine and Pakistan for eg.

[..to confess that you couldn`t have gotten it if Jinnah hadn`t come along; and probably by now you`d be under Muslim rule again....]
Syed, for once I agree completely with you. We hindus would have got royally screwed if partition had not occured. Muslims would have demanded a very steep price to stay united, like say 40 - 50% of all public office, army, police, bureacracy etc. This would have been on top of large scale autonomy for the muslim majority regions as per the Cabinet Mission Plan. The old fool Gandhi might have even given in to such demands, if Jinnah had actually asked for them.
Think of the situation after that. Hindus at that time were totally fragmented based on caste, language, ethnicities etc. The muslims would have to make an alliance with just 5-10% of hindus perhaps the backward castes to take over power at the center. They could play off one section of hindus against another, to consolidate their position forever. On top of that, in the muslim majority areas, they could whip up the jihadi machinery via madrassas and so forth to exert pressure on hindus to accept their status, not that it takes too much to rule hindus!! Some muslim general could also just carry out an army coup and take over power, this time over entire India. You couple that with the complete support from the Islamic world to the muslim ``minority``, such as Saudi petro-dollars and regimes in Afghanistan/Iran, you would have a Iraq like situation with the minority muslims ruling effortlessly over majority hindus.
This was the situation for 800 years before the Brits showed up and it was naturally headed in that same direction where people like me would be chaprasis to people like you. The Congress fools were all gung-ho on a united India, except for Sardar Patel and Lala Lajpat Rai, who had the wisdom to foresee what would happen. Then thankfully Shri Jinnah showed up. That was a blessing from God!! Shri Jinnah demanded adamantly that muslims needed separation since hindus would dominate them. What a joke!! Hindus could not even dominate a mouse, let alone vast millions of muslims!! Shri Jinnah then made it an ego issue and his life`s purpose and even created an ideology around separation. Of course, the cunning Sardar Patel seized the opportunity and made sure that the Congress would ``give in``.
The results are there in front of us. Muslims basically withdrew to a moth-eaten state primarily consisting of the barren NWFP and Baluchistan, with half of Punjab, Sindh and half of Bengal. There was massive ethnic cleansing to reduce muslim population in India to the 10% mark, a level that was manageable. If it were not for Nehru`s greed for Kashmir, all muslims would have been pushed out, but for the sake of international image, we had to stop. Patel managed to cunningly get Hyderabad, Junagadh and even Kashmir into India. Suddenly hindus were a massive majority in the lion share of the subcontinent, controlling all the resources, major cities, major industries, all the water resources. We even had a buffer state between us and the Islamic world. It was but a dream come true, all due to Shri Jinnah. Then India added the second last nail in the muslim coffin by splitting off Bangladesh in 1971 to further reduce muslim influence in India to sheer irrelevance. The final nail in the coffin was by acquiring nukes, making muslim conquest impossible.
So my friend, all in all Shri Jinnnah was the greatest hindu liberator of all times. It was inadvertent but nevertheless, very effective. In fact, Shri Jinnah`s entire philosophy of separation was unislamic which is why the muslim clergy opposed it tooth and nail. If you read the history of Islamic conquest in India and elsewhere, muslim minorities had struggled and overwhelmed big civilizations based on sheer will power and religious zeal. The minority argument was ridiculous from a historical context. But now it is too late. India has nukes and it will fire them to protect itself. So now muslims can simply look at India from Pakiland and get jealous of its economic progress. There is nothing else you can do anymore. While we hindus amass wealth and status, you can struggle for cabdriver jobs in New York and elsewhere.

Congrats on your acquiring this undesired offical status.
Before I forget, thanks for the compliment. Nothing pleases me more than to have my adversary wish for my death. It demonstrates quite a desperation on his part. Don`t you think?
