Airport battles some Muslim cabbies

Officials at Minneapolis-St. Paul International airport are proposing stiffer penalties — including suspension of an airport taxi license — to Muslim cab drivers who refuse service to passengers toting alcohol or service dogs.

But Hassan Mohamud, imam at Al-Taqwa Mosque of St. Paul and director of the Islamic Law Institute at the Muslim American Society of Minnesota, one of the largest Islamic organizations in the state, said asking Muslims to transport alcohol ``is a violation of their faith. Muslims do not consume, carry, sell or buy alcohol, and Islam also considers the saliva of dogs to be unclean, he said.

The standard of beauty and power has been ingrained in our minds thanks to being colonized until only a few decades ago. By white men. Yes it is true that being a white male in today’s world is an invaluable asset. You can be of average smarts, but people in East Asia, South Asia and Africa will treat you like royalty.


So you measure your own worth by what others think of you...you might have made it in life but if a bunch of rednecks call you a n-word, then your self-worth in your own eyes is reduced?

..... give it a rest !......... the fact of the matter is that even though a pasty/pale white can be `improved` with sun tanning, it is still better than being as dark as sin ! ......... i know, i know, hazrat bilal was black and all that, but that`s what landed him in slavery in the firsty place ........ it is not a lot of fun being dark skinned - ask any j2ee slave from kerala ........
