Some of the most dignified blacks I have seen have been in Africa, e.g., one of whom even pointed out to me when I was visiting Africa his disgust with such behavior on the part of some american blacks. but dont confuse behavior, which in turn stems from historical circumstances, with skin color

After eight hours of working with us, entitled Americans who bumrush every newly opened register, have intricately detailed explanations of why we havent returned product A until 10 months after we purchased it, doddering old women who have 10 coupons and decide they dont want 11 of B product because...whatever the heck the reason is, whiny toddlers knocking boxes of eye cream over (i made my nephew pick up the boxes and put them back)...if I were working at a Duane Reade, you`d better hope I was doing whatever I could to not hang myself.....

may i point out that the great harems of the zoroastrian and middle east valued beauty in the full spectrum of hue-especially when women were valued for beauty, proficiency in court arts and the ability to reproduce male heirs. You need only to look at the great civilizations of Egypt, Mali, Songhai and Timbuktu to know that African women were valued in their cultures as the zenith of beauty, regardless of European conceptions of beauty.

Can you or would you want to imagine Naomi Campbell even a shade lighter?
