#200 hamidm2,
Are you biased against homos? It just transpired that the very first US war wounded hero in Iraq turned out to be one and campaigning for gay rights. That must make you something of a traitor, wouldn`t it?

By the way zeemax, they have not lost the war. they are still killing innocent people and nobody is there to stop them. So stop being an idiot and post something intellligent. Saying that a soldier is gay which is why America is losing this war is asinine. If that would be the case most of the vaderas will be failures and you will not even consider yourself a success (which I am sure you do)

At what age did you learn the art of double-speak? What was the inspiration? I know that you are squirming under the harsh glare of some pointed questions, but wishing `nice days` wont wish the questions away!
Ciao

``In case you didnt notice, that post was addressed to a fellow pakistani.``
Thanks for confirming a lingering suspicion - that you say different things to different people and are not above massaging the truth to fit your needs.
Ciao.

``In our national history it will always be remembered that when America and its local agents made up their minds to dismantle a Quranic law, they used TV as a weapon and dissolved centuries’ old understanding in one month.``...although I agree with you that the television medium can and is used to mould the thinking of its viewers, I think what you`ve taken here is an extreme stance. Yes, the establishment-local or foriegn-does used the media to advance its msg, but that happens in every country and part of the world. Take US`s Fox news for example. Also, about cooking programs you say ``This is a conspiracy to systemize gluttony``...I think you`re just imagining things or being just paranoid...

TehsinAbbasi: I agree with you in #192. Muslims in the subcontinent have a history of romanticizing the ``muslim glories``, and of getting the cold water of reality hit them over and over again (the Khilafat Movement being a classic case).
This is not an academic problem, but a significant practical problem for muslims - by romanticizing the Ottoman Empire, e.g., we forget that it was at root a brutal kingship that has no place in a civilized society today. The sharia laws are laws formed by qadis appointed by the khalifa, the latter ensuring that the concept of a parliament to form laws never took place. The animosity towards the US is rooted in the fact that the US has for two centuries been the leading nation in the path away from kingships and the primitive societies they were based in.

killing one single soul
China hasn`t killed a single soul?...so according to the practitioners of the religion of peace, tibetans don`t have souls...that`s ok...but what about the whole bunch of muslims the chicoms have whacked?

Urstruly: I agree with you when you advise zeemax that ``I do not consider any one of them my adversaries.``. Only paper tigers think that words are punches that you throw at each other on chowk, rather than a means to express ourselves and no less and no more.
While you object to my saying that you have nothing but negative things to write about the country you have chosen to come and live in, I dont think that there is one post you have ever written in the 7 years on chowk that has anything positive to say about the US.
Show me one single post, one single sentence where you have something good to say about the country you have lived in and raised your children in over the past 7 years and I will say that your objection is not totally invalid.
Failing the above, I challenge you to write one single post saying something genuinely positive about this nation.
Failing that, I think you will be less outraged at my pointing out this thing.
